2003.9.14(Sun) Today, the white blood cell count was 400, the red blood cell count was 5.8 and the platelet count was 1.9. Compared with the day before yesterday, there are signs of improvement, although they are really subtle. Thanks to this, the drip was finally finished and he was heparocked. I no longer have to push the infusion stand when I walk along the ward corridor, which gives me a little more freedom. However, the isolator has not been removed yet. The mask cannot be removed yet. This time, my white blood cell count was very low and I had to have more blood transfusions than usual. I consulted my former doctor, who suggested that my bone marrow might be tired. The bone marrow has been damaged over and over again by the treatment so far. It may indeed be so. If he takes a long time to rest because of the acute condition, the bad cells will increase... I guess it's time to hang in there. Let's keep on trying.

2003. 9. 15 (Mon) Blood samples were taken again today. Compared to yesterday, the amount of blood was almost twice as much as yesterday. However, the proportion of neutrophils is still low, about 5% of the total white blood cells. The isolator will be removed the day after tomorrow. This means that the white blood cell count should be over 1000 and the neutrophil count over 500. I can't wait to get out of the hospital ...

2003.9.16(Tue) Mr. M was discharged from hospital today. The new patient who came in instead of him snores very loudly. So I can't sleep very well unless I listen to music. Physically, I feel fine, no nausea, no queasiness. If the side effects were stronger, the snoring would be much worse. But the person who is snoring doesn't even know he is snoring, does he? I don't know if I myself snore, but I've never been told, so I must be quiet. Still, it's noisy, but it can't be helped. It's quite stressful, but I have to put up with it. This is a big room. Tomorrow they'll take blood. I'm looking forward to it.

2003. 9. 17 (Wed) Yay! I'm out of hospital! I've been discharged, but only temporarily. But I did it! Today's results were: white blood cells 3600, red blood cells 7.2, platelets 3.0. I'm a bit concerned about the platelets being a bit low, but that's okay! Whatever! Because I'm out of hospital! And now the room is noisy. A total change of patients is taking place. The man diagonally to my right has already been discharged and a new man is coming in. The person next to me was discharged earlier than me, but his inflammatory reaction seems to have continued for a long time, so his discharge has been postponed. He will probably be discharged next week. Well then, I'm off to get some fresh air!
