FisdaN、すごく楽しかったよ

2019年1月11、12、13日の3日間、長野県は長野市でThe Festival of Irish Set Dancing in Nagano 2019（FisdaN）が開催されました。昨年の開催地である長野県松本市から会場を移しています。ケーリーの会場は「ホール鹿鳴館」。

2回のワークショップと4回のケーリーで構成されており、ワークショップはそれぞれ初心者・中級者に向けたもの。ケーリーはToyota Ceili Band、BB Céilí Band、及び各バンドのシャッフル・合同で行われました。1st Ceiliではすべてのセットでコールも行われました。コーラーは関西在住の小山さん、関東在住の寺町さん、そしてBB Céilí Bandのリーダーでありダンサーでもある飯井さんの3名でした。

各ケーリーの伴奏、盛り上がりは凄まじいもので、特に地域の方を巻き込んだ1st Ceiliはそれが最初のケーリーにもかかわらずクライマックスのような盛り上がりでした。

各日程の夜には前夜祭、中夜祭、打ち上げがあり、ダンスあり、セッションありの賑やかな時間でした。最終日の打ち上げではダンスが始まる気配を帯びた瞬間に人がぞろぞろと表に立ち、3セット、24人もの人々が踊っていました。

僕はケーリーやセットダンスが大好きで、付け加えて言えば長野県のような緑や山に囲まれた自然あふれる土地も大好きです（地元の北海道に似てる）。FisdaN 2019は開催が決まってもいないのに1年間ずっと心待ちにしていました。

今後の開催地が長野市なるにせよ松本市なるにせよ、このようなフェスが東京以外の土地で開かれるのが僕はすごく嬉しい。普段あまり踊れない人と踊れるのも嬉しいし、会ったことのダンサーに出会えることも嬉しい。何より、素敵な土地である長野県で育った人々と音楽やダンスで触れ合えるのがとても良い。

FisdaN、気になっていたけれど日程の都合がつかなくて行けなかった人には是非来年も来てほしいし、迷って行かなかった人にはその楽しさを伝えたい。そして、まだ見ぬダンサーの人たちにはこの興奮を伝えたい。FisdaN、すごく楽しかったよ。

The biggest Irish Set Dance Festival in Japan was held in Nagano-shi in Nagano prefecture, 11st - 13th In January 2019. Its name is "The Festival of Irish Set Dancing in Nagano (FisdaN)".

There were two workshops and four ceilis. The workshops was for beginners and Intermediates. The ceili band is Toyota Ceili Band, BB Céilí Band, and the their shuffle bands. Toyota Ceili Band is the famous ceili band in Japan, which had performed the Senior Céilí Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016. The BB Céilí Band is a new ceili band which made by Shinshu University students. In 1st Ceili, every sets was called by Japanese dancers.

After ceilis, there were more dances and sessions every night. On the last day of the festival, almost half of participants joined the pub ceili, though they danced two ceilis.

I love the set dance, ceilis and the nature in Nagano which is surrounded by many forests and mountains, it is similar to my hometown, Hokkaido. I had been looking forward to go to FisdaN before it was decided to be held. In recent years, there are many ceilis in Japan, but almost is held in Tokyo. So, it is glad for me to join the ceilis in Nagano because I can meet and dance with people who I can't see in Tokyo.
