仁王像にチャレンジ、見本が写真と簡略図のみ【仏画曼荼羅アート】 Challenge the statue of Nio, the sample is only a photo and a simplified drawing

寺院でよく見かける仁王像(金剛力士像)を
神戸教室の生徒さんから描いてみたいという要望があり、
課題としてチャレンジしていただくことにした。

The statue of Nio (Nio statue) often seen in temples.
There was a request from a student in the Kobe classroom to draw,
I decided to take on the challenge as an issue.

見てのとおり、仁王像は他の仏像と比べ違いがいくつかある。
仁王像は、体全体の動きがあり流線形で、像というよりは人間の形姿に近い。
さらに、装飾物が少なく、色彩がほとんどないことから、
仏画のとして表現していくのは極めて難しい。
そのためか、下地になる線画で表現されている仁王像画が少ない。

As you can see, the Nio statue has some differences from other Buddha statues.
The statue of Nio is streamlined with the movement of the whole body and is more like a human figure than a statue.
In addition, there are few decorations and few colors, so It is extremely difficult to express it as a Buddhist painting.
Probably because of this, there are few Nio statues that are represented by line art that serves as the base.

見本になるのは写真と簡略図のみ。そんな中で難題にチャレンジ。
立体的な形姿から平面的な線画にどう表現できるかがポイントだった。
さらに、仁王像が古いので写真では細部まで分かりにくい。
といった課題で、一昨日の稽古日に二人の方が作品に仕上げ持参された。　想像をはるかに超えた出来栄えである。

Only photos and simplified drawings are examples. Under such circumstances, they challenged a difficult problem. The point was how to express it from a three-dimensional figure to a two-dimensional line art.
Furthermore, since the statue of Nio is old, it is difficult to see the details in the photograph. On the day before yesterday, the two of them finished the work and brought it with them.

ボールペンと鉛筆のみで制作 (手を真っ黒にしながら毎日コツコツと)
Produced only with a ballpoint pen and pencil (steadily every day while keeping your hands black)

鉛筆と色鉛筆で制作 (実際の色が分からないので脚色しながら)
Produced with pencils and colored pencils (while dramatizing because I do not know the actual color)
