今日は、「重陽」の節句 Today is the "Choyo" festival
今日は9月9日。五節句のひとつである「重陽の節句」。菊の節句とも呼ばれている。長寿を願って、菊の花を飾ってお祝いをする。野菊はどこにでも咲く花だから特に好きである。
Today is September 9th. "Choyo no Sekku" is one of the five festivals. It is also called the chrysanthemum festival. Celebrate with chrysanthemums, hoping for longevity. I especially like wild chrysanthemum because it is a flower that blooms everywhere.
陰陽思想では奇数は陽の数であり、陽の極みである九が重なる日であることから「重陽」と呼ばれるように。陽の重なりを吉祥とするようになり祝い事の日になったと言われている。
In the Yin-Yang idea, the odd number is the number of the yang, and it is called "Choyo" because it is the day when the nine, which is the extreme of the yang, overlaps. It is said that it became a celebration day because the overlapping of the sun became auspicious.
