大阪の残り名物、いまも誇らしげに走る。 　The remaining specialty of Osaka, it still runs proudly.

先日、久しぶりに大阪 天王寺まで行った。
ご存知のとおり日本で一番高いビル、「あべのハルカス」があるところ。

The other day, I went to Tennoji, Osaka for the first time in a long time.
As you know, the tallest building in Japan, "Abeno Harukas" is located.

数年前からあべの筋など、この周辺が変わりつつある。
天王寺、阿倍野界隈は大阪南地域に位置し下町中の下町として
”大阪らしさ” が残る地域である。

This area has been changing since several years ago, such as Abeno-suji. Tennoji and Abeno neighborhoods are located in the southern part of Osaka and are located in the downtown area. It is an area where "Osaka-ness" remains.

しかしながら、地域開発が徐々に進み、
下町の風土、情緒、雰囲気、街並みが消え去ろうとしている。

However, regional development has gradually progressed, The climate, emotions, atmosphere, and cityscape of downtown are about to disappear.

むかしから天王寺といえば「チンチン電車」が走る町として馴染み深い。
あべの筋は、いまでも堺方面までチンチンと警笛を鳴らしながら路面を走っている。
これが、目に見える大阪の残り名物であるかのように
誇らしげに今日も私の目の前を走り抜けて行った。

Long time ago, Tennoji is familiar as a town where "chinchin trains" run. Abeno-suji is still running on the road to the direction of Sakai, honking his horn.
As if this is a visible remnant of Osaka proudly ran through in front of me today as well.

一部あべの筋沿いや路地裏のお店は昔ながらの雰囲気を残しているが、
その灯火がいつの日か消えていくと思えば寂しい気がする。

Some shops along Abeno-suji and in the back alleys retain the old-fashioned atmosphere, I feel lonely when I think that the light will go out someday.
