日本の暮らしに根付く「おもてなし」は、日本文化から生まれた独特のお迎えのマナーとして伝わっている。お客様をお迎えする表現方法は言葉以外にもいくつかある。そのひとつが「花」である。季節の花や、花を入れる花器、そして花や花器の色彩で迎えることにより、迎える人の人柄が出て楽しい。そんな細やかなお迎えが「日本文化の原点」のような気がする。
 
"Hospitality" rooted in Japanese life is transmitted as a unique welcome manner born from Japanese culture. There are several ways of expressing customers other than words. One of them is "flower". By welcoming you with seasonal flowers, flower vessels to put flowers in, and the colors of flowers and flower vessels, it is fun to show the personality of the person who welcomes you. I feel that such a detailed welcome is the "origin of Japanese culture."

 
一生に何度も会えないかもしれない、と思うと人を迎える気持ちが改まる。この一瞬のときを迎えるために装う花がある。
また、何気のない日常のなかに華を一輪置くことで、心に物質以外の別の感情が生まれてくるから不思議だ。手紙を入れておく文箱の横に花が一輪添えられていると、なかの手紙の内容が偲ばれる。まさに偲ぶ花になる。
 
When I think that I may not be able to meet many times in my life, the feeling of welcoming people changes. There is a flower to dress up to welcome this moment. Also, it is strange that putting a flower in a casual daily life creates another feeling in the mind other than the substance. A flower is attached to the side of the text box that holds the letter, and the contents of the letter are remembered. It will be a flower that you will remember.

 
花も命あるもの。言葉はないが美しい形や色、そして香がある。それを生かすのは人であるが、花によって人の心が生かされていることを忘れてはなるまい。
 
Flowers are also alive. There are no words, but there are beautiful shapes, colors, and scents. It is the people who make the best use of it, but we must not forget that the flowers make the people's hearts alive.
