「桃の節句 雛によりそい」　春の明るさと美しさを放つ　【袋中菴 幻の花 写真集】　"Peach Festival Hinamatsuri" radiates the brightness and beauty of spring

明日から三月、旧暦で言うなら「やよい月」。春を迎え草木が茂り、花が咲く季節。
シリーズで紹介している「袋中菴 幻の花」写真集より第四弾として、「桃の節句 雛によりそい」を紹介する。雛飾りに寄り添う “橘” と “スイートピー” が春の明るさ美しさを放つ。雛折形には “芙蓉” や “忘れな草” がひっそりと顔をのぞかせる。

From tomorrow to March, the lunar calendar is "Yayoi month". Spring is the season when vegetation grows and flowers bloom.
As the fourth installment from the "Taichu-an Phantom Flower" photo book introduced in the series, l will introduce "Peach Festival Hinamatsuri". “Tachibana” and “sweet pea” that snuggle up to the chicks give off the brightness and beauty of spring. "Fuyo" and "Forgotten grass" quietly look into the chicks.

三日は子ども(女の子)の幸せ願う「桃の節句」、女の子のみならず人々の幸せを願う節目の日。春という季節のはじまりに健康で幸せな日々が末長く続くことを願う日として、この時季ならではの風情を楽しむ行事として定着している。

The third day is the "Peach Festival" that wishes the happiness of children (girls), and the milestone day that wishes the happiness of not only girls but also people. As a day to hope that healthy and happy days will continue for a long time from the beginning of the spring season, it has become established as an event to enjoy the unique atmosphere of this season.

女の子の健やかな成長を心から願う親心の香。あたり一面に春の明るい希望が満ちあふれる　(花材／橘・スイートピー)

雛節句の掛花は、まあるく生けて、桃の色帯を流す (花材／橘・スイートピー)

戦時中、尼僧院でありながら雛飾りができなかった、つらく悲しい思い出として (花材／菜種・芙蓉・忘れな草・ラブチフローラ)
During the war, as a painful and sad memory that Taichu-an could not decorate the chicks even though it was a nun (flower material / rapeseed, fuyo, forget-me-not, labyrinth flora)

袋中菴は浄土宗知恩院派の寺院で、江戸時代の初頭に本山知恩院の尼僧の修行道場として創建された尼僧院。前住職まで18代続く尼院で、尼僧さんによって護持されてきた。その寺院に伝わる「山階御流」という挿花伝承の花がある。その御流の写真集「幻の花」から随時抜粋し紹介している。

Taichu-an is a temple of the Jodo sect Chion-in school, and was built at the beginning of the Edo period as a training center for nuns at Honzan Chion-in. It was a nun that lasted for 18 generations until the former priest and was protected by a nun. There is a flower that has been handed down to the temple and is called "Yamashina Goryu". Excerpts from the photo book "Phantom Flower" of the current style are introduced as needed.
