作家・朝吹真理子氏のおもてなし　　　[おやじ感想文追想] 　The hospitality of the writer Mariko Asabuki.

昨日の朝日新聞朝刊に、ひときわ目を奪われた写真があった。
よく見ると、それは「将棋名人戦」。羽生善治名人と行方尚史八段の対局シーンなのであるが、フォーカスされているのは、中央で鋭い視線をおくり対局をみつめる女性。

In the morning edition of the Asahi Shimbun yesterday, there was a photo that caught her eye. If you look closely, it is "Shogi Meijin". It is a game scene between Yoshiharu Habu and Hisashi Namekata, but the focus is on a woman who looks at the game with a sharp gaze in the center.

記事に目を移すと、「作家・朝吹真理子」寄稿と書かれていた。2日間、対局に密着し、勝負を見て何を感じたかの想いを綴っていた。まず写真に目が奪われ、そして文章に心が惹き付けられた。
文章の中で、読み返したところがいくつかあった。前文後文を省いているので、少しニュアンスが伝わりにくいかも知れないが、拾ってみた。

When she turned to the article, she was written as a contributor to "writer Mariko Asabuki". She stayed in touch with the game for two days, and she spelled out her thoughts on what she felt when she saw the game. First, her picture caught her eye, and then her writing was fascinating. There were several places in her writing that she read back. She omits the preamble and the postscript, so she may be a little hard to convey the nuances, but she picked it up.

向かい合う二人の息も重い。「一手さきの未来を考えては壊し、また考える」。
それを二日間繰り返している。「時間は流れるのではなく削りとられるものとして存在する」
書き出しは、対局室の閉塞感の描写で始まっている。
終わりが、また対局室の「床の間に生けられた蕾の鉄砲百合が咲き、青いにおいがしていた。盤を挟む座布団に、ふたりの体の重みが残っている」と結ばれていた。

The breath of the two facing each other is also heavy. "Thinking about the future of one move, destroying it, and thinking about it again." She repeats it for two days. "Time exists as something that is scraped off rather than flowing." The writing begins with a depiction of the feeling of blockage in the game room. At the end, it was tied again in the game room, "The lily of the buds that lived between the floors was in bloom and smelled blue. The weight of the two bodies remained on the cushion that sandwiched the board."

読み終えて思ったのが、描写する素材を繊細に感じとり、それを料理しもてなしていただいたような気分になった。

After reading it, I felt the material to be drawn delicately, and I felt as if I had cooked it.
