今日考えていたこと。

年末、歳末、暮れ、年の瀬、大晦日、New Year's Eve、いろんな言い方がある

5月にドイツのベルリンで泊めてくれたフンボルト大学生のおじさんと久々にチャットしてたら、

って単語を初めて知った。恥ずかしながら。

意味は「大晦日」。

ドイツ語圏ではよく使うらしいんだけどなんかかっこいいから来年から使ってみようかな。

気になって語源を調べてみたら、かのコンスタンティヌス帝に洗礼を施した教皇シルウェストリの命日が335年12月31日だったそう。

いや西暦335年って。ローマって相変わらずすごいなって思わされる。

ローマといえば、6月にヴァチカン市国を訪れた時のことを思い出す。

ヴァチカン市国、すごいとかそういう感じじゃない。

なんというか荘厳だった。何より驚いたのが、保存状態のよさ。

歴代の教皇勅書の手書き原本が完璧な状態で残ってるんだからやばい。

教皇関連の権威の強さ、タブーというかアンタッチャブルな感じ、歴史の重要性が目に見える形でそこにあった。

こないだのホープフルSのレース回顧。

テンが早い馬が出遅れたことでどどどどスローに。

今年の春競馬を思い出させるペースの競馬だった。

大本命◎を打っていたサートゥルナーリヤは直線でさすがの抜け出しを見せて余裕の１着…

に見えて実はヒヤヒヤする展開だった。

Today, I read an article about the reform of the national university in Japan. 

In my opinion, the series of the change in the various systems of those university including Hitotsubashi must be so-called "top-down reforms". 

I think the issue is the different view of the role of university between from the goverment and managers of national university.(to be exact, not 'national' but 'privatized' several years ago)

The government is making too much account of the number, for exampke the university ranking,and the number of sited papers and articles, without thinking about affairs of a place.

This is why I said 'top-down' reforms rather than democratic one.

However, I agree with the idea that the tuition fee of national university should be raised in several years, considering the fact of decreasing the number of children, increasing recent inflation rate, and current budget situations in Japan.

Instead of that, as the article said, each university would rather set Income Rated Scholarships, Free Tuiton loan which is, as is literaly, students return the student loan or tuitions according to the annual income after graduation.

In short, the loan system strongly based on the liberalism.
