英文契約書の会計用語　（その1）

英文契約書には、会計（Accounting）に関する用語が記載されていることがあります。それ自体が専門分野である会計に関する用語は、当然のことながらその数は非常に多く、多岐にわたります。それら中でも、英文契約書や会社定款等で最近みかけた用語のごく一部を取り上げてみました。日本語の訳語については、翻訳に際して一般に良く使われる訳語を参照しましたが、ここに記載した以外のものもあります。また、同様に英文に関しても同じ用語でも別の表現が使われる言葉もあります。用語の使用例として参考に一部の用語に例文を作成しました。なを、用語それに自体の意味等については、英文会計に関する専門書等を参照してください。

The consolidated balance sheets and the related consolidated statements of operations, and cash flows present fairly shall be in accordance with the generally accepted accounting principles in the United States of America.（連結貸借対照表および関連する連結損益計算書、およびキャッシュフローは、アメリカ合衆国で一般に認められている会計原則に従って作成される）

英文契約書の翻訳では、会計用語が必須要件として登場します。その中でよく見かける言葉をアルファベット順にとりあげてみました。今回とりあげなかった言葉は「その2」で取り上げます。
