【青森で奈良さんのルーツに出会う】奈良美智: The Beginning Place ここから ①

一度は行きたいと思っていた青森県立美術館で奈良美智さんの個展が開催されていると知り、思い切って未踏の地青森へ！
Visited Aomori Museum of Art where I've longed for several years, and saw the solo art exhibition by Yoshitomo Nara, "The Beginning Place". It is my first time traveling to Aomori! Soooo excited.

今日（2月25日）が閉幕とのことで（涙）
青森旅行と美術館の思い出を綴ろうと思い立ちました。
できれば開催中にもう一度行きたかったなぁ。
想いが熱すぎて長くなってしまったので、
目次で気になる箇所をチェックみてください。
February 25, 2024 is a closing day of the exhibition so I made up my mind to write my feelings about it. I wanted to go there again during the duration if possible. This is kind a long story than I thought, please choose and read the topics you are interested in from the table of contents.

旅のはじめは、駅弁選び
First, I got an Eki-ben lunch box

今回の旅のはじまりは東北新幹線・東京駅。
新青森駅まで約3時間の長旅になるため、
東京駅改札内の駅弁屋「祭」に立ち寄り
旅のおとも（駅弁）を選びます。
This time, we started at Tohoku Shinkansen Tokyo Station, then after about 3hours trip to Shin Aomori Station. First, We stopped by the store inside the station,"Matsuri" to get an 'Eki-ben' bento box.

お店では、いろんな地域の名物駅弁が
想像以上のボリュームで並んでいて
目移りしまったものの、
東北のお弁当エリアで「えび千両ちらし」を購入。
あとで知ったのですが、
駅弁ランキング1位の人気駅弁だったよう。
Since there are various kinds of Eki-ben there, it was hard to choose. I got "Ebi Senryo Chirashi , the famous Niigata Eki-ben", a scattered sushi lunch box with srimp, eels, squid,and seaweed, in the end.

新幹線のお楽しみ　Fun Things on the Shinkan-sen

お弁当を片手に、新幹線乗り場へ。
新青森行きの「はやぶさ」（9:08AM発）に乗車。
キュンパス効果なのか新幹線は全席満席で、盛岡あたりまで
とっても賑やかでした。
We got on the Shinkan-sen leaving 9:08 am.
The Shinkan-sen seats were full because of Kyun pass one-day cheap ride tciket by JR East.

行きの新幹線のおともとして取り出したるは…
・買ってきた駅弁
・奈良美智さん特集の雑誌（The Big Issue & Casa BRUTUS ）
・奈良さんの作品から生まれたキャラクター「パップキング」のぬいぐるみ
Fun Things on Shinkan-sen were
- Ebi Senryo Chirashi, ekiben I got in Tokyo Station
- Magazines special features on Yoshitomo Nara
- Pupkig, a stuffed animal that the character created by Yoshimoto Nara

お腹ぺっこぺこだったので、まずは駅弁をいただきまーす！
Since I was very hungry, I had Eki-ben soon after getting on the Shinkan-sen.

えび千両ちらしがおいしかった件 Eki-ben was really good

新潟産米を使用した寿司飯は、コハダによく合う！
具材の下に敷かれたおぼろ昆布も良き。
卵の下に隠れていた鰻、イカ、エビが
徐々に出てくるのも楽しかったなぁ。
おいしくて楽しいお弁当。大人気の理由が分かりました。
Scatterd sushi (Niigata rice) was delicious and it made a very good match to seafood. Also it was so much fun to find some seafood hidden by Japanese rolled omelettes.

お弁当のあとは、雑誌で展覧会の予習。
あっという間の3時間でした。
After eating Eki-ben, I read magazines to prepare for the exhibition.
It went by so fast to Shin-Aomori station.

いざ県立美術館へ
Head to Aomori Museum of Art

人生初の青森。
ずっと遠い場所だと思っていた青森の地に
降り立って感慨深い。。
のですがここでゆっくりしている暇はないのです。
急いで県立美術館へ向かわねば！
My First Time to arrive in Aomori.
I thoght it was so far from the place I live, so I was deeply moved to be here.
Well, I have to go to the museum as soon as possible to have plenty of time to see the exhibition.

新青森駅からは残念ながら
ちょうど良い時間帯のバスがなかったので
タクシーで県立美術館へ。
Since we didn't find buses for the museum, we took a taxi at Shin-Aomori station.

青森で奈良さんのルーツにであう
Aomori is "The beginning place"

新青森駅からタクシーで15分程で県立美術館に到着。青森旅の当日は、まるで春のような一日で雪は少なめ。雪に慣れない私も転ぶことなく、無事に美術館の入り口にたどりつけました。
It took about 15 minutes by taxi, we arrived at the museum.I could enter the museum safely because it was less snow on the ground. It was fine and warm on that day.

5つのテーマ　Five Themes

展覧会は5つのテーマに分かれていました。
※作品の写真撮影がOKだったのは嬉しかったなぁ。
但し、フラッシュは不可でした。
There were 5 themes at the exhibition.
* It was OK to take photos but flash was profibited.

1．家 HOUSE/HOME

ひとつめのテーマは、家　HOUSE/HOME。
印象に残ったのは、奈良さん初期の作品。
Theme 1 was HOUSE/HOME.
The artwork below was most impressed in Theme 1 .

カッチョのある風景　A landscape with "Kaccho" 1979

タイトルにある「カッチョ」とは、
右側にそそり立つ木柵のことで
日本海からの強風にさらされる津軽地方独特のもの
だそう。（図録より）
"Kaccho" of the title is the woden broken fence painted on the right side. It is said to be the unique structure only in Tsugaru area.

この作品を青森で見ることができて
本当に良かった。
青森を訪れなければわからなかった
土地の景色や気配、空気感を感じられたから。
I was really moved to see this artwork here.
I felt the scenery, feelings, and the atmosphere unique to Aomori.

他にも心を揺さぶる作品が多く
テーマ1だけでもかなりの時間がかかってしまう。
There were fascinated artworks than I thought in Theme 1 and spent a lot of time.
