How Wonderful Technique that Improving Mental Management and Raising Self-Control Skills as well called
Have you seen a movie, named “Inside Out”? I really recommend you to watch it if not yet! Why? Because it visualize our emotions pretty well. It helps us to look at yourself with objectivity. Anyhow, it’s so valuable and good movie which you must watch!
New article showed up picking up conception of the movie “Inside Out”.
It constitutes from 4 experiments and what their designs are↓
1. All subjects were asked to think negative experience from their past like “I was broken with my partner.” or “My pet was died.” Something like that.
2. The subjects were divided to 2 groups, one of them were asked imaging their past negative experience in normal way.
3. Other one were asked to imagine their past negative experience with personification and described what kind of that person was.
I’m sorry I just tell you little bit of the movie that when negative emotion comes to you and your brain idealizes it into “SADNESS”. When you feel sad, pain, or bitter, so on, describing particular character. In this study, most of the subjects described 2 types of “Sad” as person.
* The elderly who is disappointed his hair turning white
* A small girl plots her lonely way looking down the road
They didn’t choose young man in this case instead.
After that evaluation, the subjects were asked their rate of sad emotion level and hit the result was obvious like this, people who personified their sad emotion made their sad emotion level went down significantly. Just in case the people who described their sad emotion normally also decreased their sad emotion but was little.
On the other hand, another researches took one as “happiness” as same procedure with “sad” one. Anyway, the result hit the same. When people idealized their happiness emotion as personification, their entire happiness emotion went down... so don’t you dare to imagine your happiness emotion as personification.
Moreover from this research showed “Improving self-control when you idealize your negative emotion into personification!”
When people imagine their sad emotion into personification after that, they were asked like “Which you would choose to take cake or salads?” and their rate of answer was “to take salads” increasing significantly. So much interesting, isn’t it?
