豊かな自然をそのまま店に持ち込んだかのように、開放感で一杯になれるような。その上でARTのハイセンスがふんだんに取り入れられている。
Calanthe Art Cafe は、マラッカでもそんなハイセンスなカフェの筆頭格の一つで、SNSで十分その名声は響き渡っていると思います。
In fact there are so many "cool" cafes in Melaka, lots of nature feeling inside the cafe. We can be relaxed there at full comfort, together with high sensed art mind.
Calanthe Art Cafe is one of such cafes. In fact it is already established with its fame in lots of social media.
ここで一番有名なのは「マレーシア１３州の特色を生かしたコーヒー」でしょう。13種類をパウダーにして小分けした箱は、実際おみやげに最適です。
The most famous one should be "13 States Coffees, Malaysia" which is most suitable for gifts.
そしてマレーシアのカフェで一般のように料理も充実しています。店の看板と言えるのが「ニョニャラクサ」です。やっぱりマラッカでの料理で第一に挙げられるのはニョニャラクサではないでしょうか。複雑な深みで一杯なスープ。チリの辛さとココナッツミルクの柔らかさが絶妙に融合されています。
And, of course, foods are fulfilled there. Their signature dish is "NYONYA LAKSA", with complicated depth of the combination of chili spiciness and coconuts milk sweetening. This should be one of the top dish to TRY!!
しかし、このカフェから感じられる「オーラ」はそれだけではないでしょう。（この辺は行ってみないと感じられないですね）。心地よい開放感と寛ぎが漂うその先に、何が感じられますか？？

このコンセプトは耳にしたことがある方は多いでしょう。実際わかりやすいコンセプトなのですが、特に我々日本人には今一つ現実感が浮かばないのは、やっぱり農園の現場に身近になれないからだと思います。
しかしマレーシアは違います。世界的には量的に微小であっても、地元に「リベリカ種」の栽培があるから。Specialty Coffee の世界で圧倒的な地位を占めるアラビカ種とは違ったリベリカ種の特性を生かしたコーヒーを、「自分たちで一貫生産してお客さんに一杯のコーヒーとして届ける」。これがSEED TO CUP なのですが、これを実現している方に、先日投稿したMY LIBERICA さん以外に、ここマラッカで出会えた！！
これは正直驚き以上です。Calanthe Art Cafe の心地よい空間のその先に、コーヒー農園の姿が浮かんできた。こんな白昼夢を感じられるとは！
コーヒー好きの皆さん。マラッカに行かれる機会があれば、Calanthe Art Cafe で伝統的なコーヒーを試してみようとか、評価高いニョニャラクサを食べようか、とか考えられると思うのですが、ぜひ、ゆったりと椅子に座り、心地よい空間の中で、店主さんもしくは奥さんとコーヒーについて語ってみませんか？ 「10年先の展開」についても、人間が生み出す最上級の熱意と共に存分に語ってもらえると思うし、それが旅の印象として最大級になりうるのではないでしょうか。

Here in Malaysia there is a LIBELICA bean which is not so common yet, but there are people who have ENTHUSIASM to develop its local bean making high level specialty Coffee, then starting from FARM, MILLING, ROASTING and BREWING. We, in Japan, can never do such an integrated production. But in Malaysia, I could meet THE MAN in addition to MY LIBERICA. This is more than surprising. What a daydream to feel it in the ahead of Calanthe Art Cafe comfortable atmosphere !!
For all of coffee lovers, I want to suggest to travel to MELAKA to stay in a Calanthe Art Cafe's comfortable chair, tasting Nyonya Laksa is OK, but talk to master or mistress about coffee, then you receive the utmost enthusiastic explanation including 10 years ahead !! It should become the brilliant memories in your travel to MELAKA !!
