学生の成長のための「大学DX」：2024年5月13日（月）

　京都産業大学では，かねて大学DX（デジタルトランスフォーメーション）を積極的に導入してきた。1966年には学内に計算機センターを完成させ，1968年には計算機科学研究所を設置した。1976年には，学内に電子計算機DEC-2040をまず設置し（その後，最新の計算機に更新継続），日本初のオンライン情報処理教室を設置した。2008年にはコンピュータ理工学部を設置，さらに2018年には情報理工学部を設置した。このように，本学は日本国内の大学でも先駆的にDXに取り組んできた大学の一つである。

　2023年6月には，ソフトバンク株式会社，LINEヤフー株式会社と「先端技術を活用した新しい学生生活の実現・研究に関する包括連携協定」を締結した。このたび，この一環として，2024年3月に，日本国内の大学では初となる対話エンジン「PKSHA AI ヘルプデスク for Microsoft Teams」を導入した。具体的には，大学Webサイトおよび学生・教職員が利用するMicrosoft Teams上に，PKSHA Technology グループが開発した深層学習と自然言語処理（NLP）を活用した対話エンジンである。

　本学では，生成AIについては，Microsoft 「Copilot」（ChatGPT4）を正式に契約しており，全学生・教職員に対して検索や質問等の際に，情報漏洩の危険性なしに安全に使える環境を提供している。生成AIが提供する情報は正確ではないこと，試験・レポートに生成AIの回答をそのまま使用しないこと，に留意して有意義に活用するよう積極的に推進していく考えだとしている。

"University DX" for Student Growth：May 13th (Monday)

Kyoto Sangyo University has been actively introducing University DX (Digital Transformation) for student growth. In 1966, a computing center was established on campus, followed by the establishment of the Computer Science Research Institute in 1968. In 1976, the university installed the DEC-2040 electronic computer on campus (continuously updated to the latest computers) and set up Japan's first online information processing classroom. In 2008, the Faculty of Computer Engineering was established, and in 2018, the Faculty of Information Engineering was established. Thus, our university has been one of the pioneering universities in Japan to engage in DX.

In June 2023, Kyoto Sangyo University signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement with SoftBank Corp. and LINE Yahoo Japan Corporation on "Realization and Research of New Student Life Utilizing Advanced Technology." As part of this agreement, in March 2024, the university introduced the first dialogue engine in Japan for universities, "PKSHA AI Help Desk for Microsoft Teams." Specifically, this is a dialogue engine developed by the PKSHA Technology Group that utilizes deep learning and natural language processing (NLP) and is available on the university website and Microsoft Teams used by students and faculty.

For generative AI, Kyoto Sangyo University has officially contracted with Microsoft "Copilot" (ChatGPT4), providing a safe environment for all students and faculty to use it securely without the risk of information leakage when searching for questions or queries. It emphasizes the importance of actively promoting the thoughtful and meaningful use of generative AI, noting that the information provided by generative AI may not always be accurate and should not be directly used in exams or reports.
