本学大学院修了者が叙勲を受章：2023年11月3日（金）

本日は文化の日である。令和5（2023）年秋の叙勲(消防関係)受章者が総務省消防庁から公表され，京都産業大学大学院経済学研究科修士課程（通信教育課程）の私の研究室において今年3月に修了された饒平名知也氏が瑞宝単光章を受章されることになった。ご本人の栄誉を称え，心よりお祝い申し上げる。

　本受章は，永年にわたり国民の生命，身体及び財産を火災等の災害から防御するとともに消防力 の強化，充実に尽力され，消防の発展に貢献し，社会公共の福祉の増進に寄与された方々に贈られる。

　饒平名氏は60歳になってから大学院で経済学を学び，エネルギー資源論の研究に注力された。みずから社長としても太陽光発電設備販売事業を沖縄県で展開しており，地域のエネルギー安定供給と脱炭素の取り組みにも積極的に貢献されている。

　饒平名氏の修士論文（特定課題研究報告書）の研究テーマは「使用済み太陽光パネルの廃棄問題　― 沖縄県の現状と課題 ―」であり，50年先を見据えた研究視座は，誠に素晴らしく脱帽するばかりである。今後益々ご健勝されるとともに，この分野においてもご活躍されることを期待している。

Graduate Receives Imperial Decoration：November 3rd(Friday)

Today is Culture Day in Japan. The recipients of the autumn 2023 Imperial Decoration (Fire Department related) were announced by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. Among them, Mr. Tomoya Yohena, who completed the Master's program in the Graduate School of Economics at Kyoto Sangyo University through the correspondence education program in March this year, will receive the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Rosette. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to him in recognition of this honor.

This decoration is awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions over the years in protecting the lives, bodies, and property of the nation from disasters such as fires, as well as in strengthening and enhancing firefighting capabilities, contributing to the development of firefighting, and promoting the well-being of the public and society.

Mr. Yohena embarked on the study of economics in the graduate program at the age of 60, focusing on research in energy resource theory. He is actively contributing to the local efforts for energy stability and decarbonization by expanding the solar power equipment sales business in Okinawa, even as the company's president.

The research theme of Mr. Yohena's master's thesis (Special Research Report) is "The Issue of Disposal of Used Solar Panels - Current Status and Challenges in Okinawa Prefecture." His visionary research perspective, considering the next 50 years, is truly remarkable, and we look forward to his continued good health and further accomplishments in this field.
