Flexibility of the Will (9/19/2019)

The point is not to have an iron will, but an adaptable will - a will that makes full use of reason to clarify perception, impulse, and judgment to act effectively for the right purpose.

外国への引越しをするにあたり、あるいは生活ががらっと変わる状況において、flexibilityは常に求められる資質だと思う。予定は予定であり、サンディエゴに来てからというもの、マーフィの法則（"Whatever could happen, will happen")のとおりになったことも何度もある。日本のカスタマーサービスの素晴らしさを懐かしみつつ、今の状況に適応していくほかはない。
