今朝はマラソン大会やってた。

The marathon event was held this morning.

滞在先の景色もだんだん馴染んできて、自分の中で朝のルーティンが決まってくる。

I'm getting familiar with the view around my house and then I'm making my morning routine.

いつもお参りに立ち寄る。この椅子に座って川を眺めるのが好き。同じ習慣をもつ人もたくさんいるに違いない。

I drop in this small temple. I love to sit this chair and see the river in front of me. I guess there are many inhabitants who have the same daily routine.

所々、憩いの場がある。そして神様がいる。朝の掃除を誰かが必ずやっていて、古い小屋だけど清々しい佇まい。「清貧」という言葉を思い出す。

There is a small cabin where people rest, and the god is there. Some one always clean this area in the morning. The cabin is old but fresh all the time.

女性の神様は人気。「媽祖」かな？

The goddess is popular. Maybe, "Ma-Zu"

そういえば今日、女性の妖怪の話を聞いた。上半身と下半身が2つに分かれていて、背中には蝙蝠のような羽が生えている。舌が長く、妊娠中の赤ちゃんを食べる。

I heard the story of a woman monster. Her body is separated into 2, upper body and lower body, and she has wings like a bat. Her tongue is long and she eats a fetus.

神様を生み出す想像力と、妖怪を生み出す想像力。知らないこと、知れないことに対する怖れ、畏れ、恐れ。

インターネットが広まって、情報が国を超えて行き来する現在、神様、あるいは妖怪はどう変わって行くのだろう？

The power of imagination that produces gods and monsters. There are scared and fear towards the thing that we don't know or can't know. 

Now, the internet helps to share lots of information beyond the country. The image of the gods and monsters will change? If it is so, how?

情報は増えたけど、やっぱりすべてを知ることはできない。

We can search a lot of information, but we can't know all even now.
