PAULOWNIA TREE （KIRI）


Belonging to the order Lamiales, family Paulowniaceae, and genus Paulownia,
it is a deciduous broadleaf tree.

If a girl is born into the family,
they plant a Paulownia tree in the garden
as a celebration.When the girl grows up,
gets married, and leaves the house,
the tree is cut down, and furniture like
chests is crafted,becoming part of her
dowry, according to an old Japanese tale.


The Paulownia tree grows rapidly,
reaching a decent height in 10 years,
developing enough to make proper
furniture by the time the girl is ready to
marry.Its wood is lighter and less dense
than that of other trees.
This makes it easy to work with, and it also excels in insulation and moisture resistance,
providing excellent storage conditions for items like kimonos.Its characteristics include stability against temperature and humidity changes,making it the most suitable wood
for furniture.


Moreover, it contains components such
as tannin, paulownin, and sesamin,which contribute to anti-mold, insect-repellent, preservative, and antibacterial effects.
The parents' emotions when sending
off their precious daughter
are well reflected in the tree's functional properties.


The peculiar open-mouthed appearance
in the photo is that of the Paulownia fruit.
It charmingly resembles the sight of baby birds opening their mouths for food.
The smaller objects in the lower photo represent the buds that bloom in spring.
Both are delightful.

これは、このNOTEに移籍してきて直ぐに書いた
記事であり、それのリプレイ記事となる。

さて、冒頭に英文を持ってきたのには何となく
グローバルに行ってみよう、と思いついた訳で
なく、閲覧件数がどんどん増え続けており、
日に日に１０００件以上を超えてる状況が
続いている（いいねは相変わらず少ない）のと
その読まれている記事の内容から推測するに
どうやら海外からの閲覧数が増えている様に
思われるからである。特殊植物を扱った記事、
芸術記事などややマニアックな記事が特に閲覧
が膨らんでいるみたいなのである。

私の記事は、過去に書いた記事なれど植物図鑑
や芸術家解説のスタイルを貫いているので記事
内容が経年により陳腐化もしない内容であり、
普遍的な記事として最低限の要求を満たす位に
体裁は整えてある訳で、それを求めてなら幸い
でもある。実は私の記事は書きっぱなしなどは
しておらず、過去のものも埋もれされるつもり
はなく、細部の誤情報は遡って修正改訂を継続
しているものである。今回の様にリプレイを
今後もやっていくものである。

翻訳は、CHAT GPTによるもので、英文翻訳を
した後に、その英文を再度、和訳させることで
Ｗチェックを施している。

桐 （キリ）

シソ目、キリ科、キリ属の落葉広葉樹

その家に女の子が産まれたならば、庭にお祝い
として桐（キリ）を植える。女の子が成長して
嫁いで家を出て行く時にその樹木を切り倒して
箪笥などの家具をこしらえて、嫁入道具にする
という昔の日本のお話である。


キリは成長の早い樹木であり、１０年でそこそこ
の高さにまで成長して、女の子が嫁ぐ時期には
ちゃんと家具が出来る位には育ってくれる。その
材は他の樹木のそれよりも軽いもので密度が低く
出来ている。それゆえに加工もしやすいのだが
断熱効果や防湿効果にも優れ、着物などの保管性
がとても良いもの。温度や湿度に変化しずらいと
いう特性ももっていて、家具として最も相応しい
樹木でもある。


また、タンニン、パウロミン、セサミン等の成分
を含んでおり、これら成分には、防カビ、防虫、
防腐、抗菌などの効果がある。大切な娘を家から
送り出す時の親の心がその機能にも込められて
いたのである。


そんな桐であるが、写真の中でパックリと口を
開けたユニークな姿はキリの実。
ヒナドリ達が口を開けて餌をおねだりをしている
姿にも見えるのが可愛らしい。


そして下の写真の小粒のものは、春に咲く蕾の
姿となる。どちらも可愛い。
