When the knee joint is extended, the medial meniscus moves diagonally upward to the left on the screen. The boundary between the medial collateral ligament and the medial meniscus becomes unclear.

Clinical application
The fibrillar pattern of medial collateral ligament injury becomes irregular.
Over time, the fibriliar pattern of the ligament becomes regular.
Physical therapist confirms the maturation of the scar and then actively exercises the range of motion.
Until then, Physical therapist strive to maintain the gliding property of the subcutaneous tissue and the strength of the vastus medialis.
