お汁粉ぜんざい

今朝はちょっと遅く起きた。
茹であずきの缶詰と少々のお水を鍋に入れて軽く火を通す。
焼いたお餅を加えて少し煮込めばお汁粉ぜんざいの出来上がり。

あとは白菜を食べやすいサイズに切り、塩の代わりに和風顆粒だしを加えて白菜の水分を出す。時間をおいて白菜の水分を取り除けば簡単な浅漬けに変身。 

This morning, I got up a little later than usual.
I started by pouring a can of sweet boiled azuki beans into a pot, adding a bit of water, and warming it up gently. Once I added some toasted mochi, it turned into a comforting bowl of oshiruko (sweet red bean soup).

Next, I chopped some napa cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Instead of using salt, I added a touch of Japanese dashi granules to draw out the cabbage’s natural moisture. After letting it sit for a while and draining the excess liquid, it transformed into a simple and delicious asazuke (lightly pickled vegetables).

Such an easy and satisfying way to start the day!
