5 Year-Old Me, thought "What Human is." Impact of A-Bomb Museum. Dr.Soko DAY43/50

I've been writing articles about "Atomic Bombs of 75years ago" every day for over 40 days. When I was 5 year-old, I felt something to see Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Museum. That is my key motivation to start my articles.

5 Year-Old Girl Had Questions

I went to the Atomic Bomb Museum in Hiroshima when I was 5 year old. I'm sure it was a big shock stuck into my mimd. Watching materials in ht museum, I had a lot of questions.

"Why was the atomic bomb dropped?"

"Why did Japan start a war?"

"Why do not citizens say 'I do not want to participate in a war'?"

"Why do not humans stop doing a war?"

Even 5 year old Girl, knew how PEACE is Important

I'm not sure why, but 5 year-old me wanted to come again. I thought I had to come again to know more.

It took more than 6 hours to get to Hiroshima, I went to the Atomic Bomb Museum every summer.
Naturally, I started to think that I wanted to work on "this" one day in the future.

I wanted to work related to peace. I think I wanted to get a job related to the world when I was in the 1st and 2nd grade of elementary school. I remember feeling strongly when I left the building when I visited the Atomic Bomb Museum in Hiroshima alone.

I became a doctor, diagnosing patients disease and finding a solution for them. Through doing my job, I always have held my feeling I have not done my original work I had to do yet.

It is like there is 5 year old girl in my mind, saying "You have not done your work for peace". So, I still hope to do something for the peace, although I am over 50.

It was one of the things I had to do to put together my aunt's experience in Hiroshima. I have personally put together the manuscript a few months ago.

As I started to collect materials about Hiroshima personally during the work of verifying my aunt's story, I began to get  interests and research further as a doctor. Also, as a researcher, knowing the fact that Japanese scientists have been banned from publishing their research historically makes me want to know the voices of researchers and exposed people widely.

In particular, I felt that the autopsy papers were important materials left by the survivors of the atomic bomb victims. Considering that he died without being able to tell the world about the experience, I wanted to announce the voices left by them in words. Also, I wanted many people to know the fact that doctors managed to carry out an autopsy while trying to save people, even though the doctors had a heavy burden.

For PEACE, For the PEOPLE of the WORLD

Depleted uranium weapon has not been banned yet, so people in the world are still in risks of terrible radiation damage. Especially children get more influence by radiation weapons. Moreover, the world still faces the risk of developing smaller nuclear weapons. In addition, the world still has 14,000 large nuclear weapons.

If we do not stop the development of new weapons using radiation for the people of the world, damage will occur mainly to small children. I want to stop the war by stopping nuclear weapons. For the sake of world peace, we, who live on the same earth, must control our weaknesses and protect people and children from war. To that end, I now want to do my best.
