108.親愛なる息子へ

今朝は、Mamaと君と一緒に初めて教会に行ったね。

引っ越してから、この教会に行くのは初めてだったから、君もワクワクしたんじゃないかな。

君はキョロキョロと、周りを見渡していたね。

教会のみんなも、君に会えてとても嬉しそうだった。牧師のI先生は、君がPapaにそっくりだと言っていたよ。

Mamaは少し嫉妬していたけどね（笑）。

ちょっとしたミニ遠足みたいな感じだったけれど、無事に教会に行けて良かったね。

夕方からは、Papaの親友のOくんが家に来て、Papaの実家（君のおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんの家だね）で、野球観戦をしたんだ。

Mamaは、「Boys dayを楽しんでね」と言ってくれていたよ。実はね、PapaがMamaとの約束を忘れてしまったせいで、Mamaを怒らせてしまったんだ。せっかくMamaが作ろうとしてくれていた夕食が、台無しになっちゃったんだ。

気分を害したMamaは来なかったけれど（帰ってから仲直りはしたよ）、Oくんと楽しい時間を過ごしたよ。

これからも、たまにはPapaと君だけ、またはMamaと君だけという時間もあるかもしれないね。これからも楽しく過ごせたらいいなと思うよ。

Dear Son

This morning, Papa, Mama, and you went to church together for the first time.

Since it was the first time going to this church after we moved, you were probably excited, weren’t you?

You were looking around, curiously observing everything.

Everyone at the church was so happy to meet you. Pastor I said you look just like Papa.

Mama was a little jealous, though (haha).

It felt like a mini field trip, but Papa is glad we made it to church safely.

In the evening, Papa’s best friend, O-kun, came over, and we watched baseball at Papa’s parents’ house (which is your grandpa and grandma’s house).

Mama said, “Enjoy your Boys’ Day!” But actually, Papa upset Mama because Papa forgot about a promise Papa made with her. Because of that, the dinner Mama was going to make got ruined.

Mama didn’t come, but (we made up after coming back home) Papa and O-kun had a great time together.

From now on, there might be times when it’s just Papa and you or just Mama and you. Papa hopes we can continue to have fun together.
