Informing My Resignation to My Most Supportive Colleague
As I've decided to change jobs and have received a great offer, I've chosen to resign from the current company where I've worked for many years. I first informed a senior colleague who has been the most supportive of me.
Upon hearing my news, the senior colleague exclaimed, "Oh?" in surprise, then followed up with, "Congratulations on the job change. I support you in forging a new career path."
He expressed his understanding of the hardships I endured due to workplace harassment by my boss over the years, stating, "I truly understand your feelings. I respect your decision."
With the support of the kind senior colleague, I've come to appreciate my time at this company.
Next, I will need to notify my boss of my resignation. I no longer harbor any regrets about transferring from my current company.
I will continue to challenge myself for the sake of my career development!
