Will I ever understand?

Fortunately, I don't need to seriously think of my life getting in danger from my daily life. However, I feel terrified from hearing the news in the Middle East. The conflicts of the Middle East have continued through a long history.
How much do I know about the history? Honestly, I don't know much about it and I feel it is necessary to know it. From the news, I do learn about the facts of what is happening. But it is difficult to find the cause of the conflict. Moreover, will I ever understand the actual cause?
No matter how much I study about the history and this issue, I'm not sure if I can really understand the cause.
Violence from war and conflicts is so terrifying for me. Living in Japan, I feel grateful that I do not have to worry for my family's life and my life.
