"Best Day of My Life" - Simple Plan【和訳】

Simple Plan 『Harder than It Looks』収録曲の和訳もあと3本。意外と進む。
1日1本投稿のつもりだったけど、せっかく進んだので早めに仕上げてたっぷり読み込み＆聴き込まねば。

8曲目は「Best Day of My Life」。
デビューアルバムに「The Worst Day Ever」という曲があって、あれは「毎日が人生最悪の日だ！」って不貞腐れている歌でしたが、これは
「日々の小さなことに感謝しよう」
「幸せを感じるかどうかは自分次第」
「幸せはもう手の中にある（それに気づくかどうか）」
っていう、前向きにも程がある歌詞！

彼らも大人になったんだなぁとしみじみ。
（そして自分も歳をとったんだなぁと）

曲調は2ndアルバム収録の「Thank You」と似ている。というか曲展開も似ているな。初期SPっぽい疾走感ある爽やかで元気なナンバーです。
