"Anxiety" - Simple Plan【和訳】

Simple Planの6枚目のアルバム『Harder than It Looks』より、5曲目は「Anxiety」。「不安」という意味です。意味はネガティブですが、なんか音の響きが好きです、かっこよくて。アングザイエティ。

この曲自体もかっこいいです。ミドルテンポで、ビートが心地良い。明るくはなくて、不穏な雰囲気も纏っていて。

コーラスの「get away, get away, get away, get away from me」が印象的。歌えると口気持ちいいｗ

スターであるが故の苦しみ。注目を浴びるということは、それだけネガティブな視線や反応にも曝されるということ。
SPのみんなはいつも元気で明るいけれど、やっぱりこんな風に苦しんだりするのかな。足引っ張られたり貶められたり。

って考えていたら、脱退したベーシスト・デヴィッドのことを思い出した。

デヴィッドはうつの療養でしばらくバンドを離れていたから、前回のツアーの時に会えなかった。
ようやくバンドに復帰したと思ったら、若い頃にファンの女の子たちを性的に搾取していたとかで告発されてしまって、結局バンドを抜けてしまった。
デヴィッドが一番好きだったからいろいろとショックだった。
これに関して思うところは多々あるけれど、長くなるしまとまらないのでここには書きません。

いま何しているのかな。元気でいてほしい。
