Dealing with insecurities
As a child, I've always had insecurities from all types of aspects. I loved eating food in which I gained a lot of weight during my period in middle school. I damaged my two front teeth while skipping on concrete and slipped onto the floor breaking them at a young age. Due to that incident, my lip is also a bit bigger than the average person. With all of these insecurities at a young age, I was bullied for almost half a year by a classmate of mines pushing me around, calling me names, and tried to cause a scene every single day. Fortunately, I vividly remembered that we were both sent onto the vice principal's office because of the fight we had earlier. The vice principal asked me if I was being bullied and I took the chance by saying that we were both friends and we were playing rough. From that incident, he never bullied me ever again and I realized that confidence was what fixed my problem there. I attempted to work on that aspect to better myself as a person. During high school, I had a growth spurt which gave me an opportunity in life growing from 152cm to 180.33cm. Even then, I still had a lot of insecurities in high school, my smiles were irregular because of my damaged front teeth, I had self-confidence issues, and bad habits. But I realized that none of these issues were going to fix itself, I stepped up and dealt with the problems with the support of my friends and family. Insecurities are very hard to fix if you keep thinking about the issue and not a solution to fix it. Make sure you have a support group to guide your way to deal with them. I recommend reading self-healing books that explain things into detail on why your brain causes you to think this way. I also recommend listing all of your insecurities, set up a plan that you'll work your way toward on fixing them. I had insecurities about my body, so I've been going to the gym for the past 5 years. I had insecurities about my skin care, so I did research about facial care and I have been following a plan that makes my face feel more clean and brighter after 3 months! Finally, my smile, I have scheduled a dentist appointment for solutions like braces and Invisalign to straighten my smile. It doesn't matter if it takes many years to fix them, it's the understanding that you've started and you're trying your best to resolve these insecurities. I believe everyone should realize that everyone is born differently and you should never be comparing yourself to others. Work on yourself! Make yourself handsome/beautiful!
