November 29, 2021：ウィスキーとブランデー、コンビニ、コロナ、地元の酒屋 （Whisky and Brandy, Convenience Store, COVID-19, Local Liquor Shop）

I drink whisky or brandy every weekend. “Chita” and “Hennessy” are my favourite whisky and brandy, respectively. I used to buy them in a bottle at a local liquor shop near my house. But, I have lately bought them at a convenience store since it began to offer them in a half bottle. I have to pay more per millilitre at the convenience store than at the liquor shop. But, I prioritize the bottle size over the price since I no longer drink so much. The half bottle also tempts me to drink without anything but nuts. As a result, I have no weight gain and hangover.
However, as I do, more and more customers buy spirits at the convenience store, which force the local liquor shop to lose its retail trades. Accordingly, it significantly cut its lineups and reduced its sales space to one third. Further, it seems to lose its wholesale business to pubs and restaurants due to COVID-19.

　ボクは週末にウィスキーかブランデーを飲みます。ウィスキーでは、「知多」、ブランデーでは「ヘネシー」がお気に入りです。昔は、近所の酒屋でボトルで買っていたのですが、最近はコンビニで買うようになりました。コンビニがミニボトルで販売するようになったからです。割高なのは分かっているのですが、ボトルのサイズを優先しています。飲む量が減ったのも要因です。
　ボクにようにコンビニで酒を買う人が増えたせいか、酒屋さんが苦戦しています。小売りはコンビニにとられたため、売り場を三分の一にまで減らし、酒の種類も大幅に削りました。更に、卸売もコロナの影響で商売がなくなっているようです。
