September 3, 2021：「2030年すべてが「加速」する世界に備えよ」の読書会 (Book Discussion Club for “The Future Is Faster Than You Think”)

 Yesterday, I joined the above-mentioned online book discussion club. The outline of the club is as follows:
1. The members were required to read and summarize a part (about 20 pages) of the book designated by a facilitator. My part was the later part of Chapter 9 “The Future of Healthcare”.
2. The members needed to finish reading and summarizing their respective part within thirty minutes. As I didn’t have much time, I carefully read and summarized the section “The Future of Robotic Surgery” in my part which was the most attractive to me.
3. After making the summary, I discussed with my partner who read the first part of Chapter 9 and summarized the whole chapter together.
4. Then, a person responsible for each chapter summarized the chapter to all the members.
 As a result, I could understand the outline of the 400-page book in just two hours.

　昨日、表題の読書会に参加しました。概要は以下の通りです。
1. 参加者は、ファシリテーターから指令されたページを読んで、要約します。一人が読む量は約20ページです。ボクは、第9章 医療の未来の後半を担当することになりました。
2. 制限時間は30分で、この時間内に指定された部分を読み、要約を作成するようもとめられました。時間がないため、ボクは、指定された20ページの中「ロボット外科手術の未来」に興味をもったので、この部分を熟読し、要約を作成しました。
3. 要約を作成後、同じ9章を担当した方と相談しながら、9章全体を要約しました。
4　9章の要約作成後、全体で、各章のまとめ役の人が担当した章の概要を2分間で説明しました。

　これにより、400ページの本の概要を2時間で理解することができました。
