November 5, 2022: Kyogen (2), Comedy, Days Full of Laughter （狂言（２）、お笑い、笑いに包まれた日々）

Kyogen might have made me a comedy lover. I remember watching a Kyogen performance when I was a primary school child. As a part of school events, I went to a Noh theatre in Kyoto. It was too old and traditional for me to understand. But I laughed a lot at it.
In addition, I had so many chances to laugh when I was a child. Among them was Akashiya Sanma san's performances on TV, which made me laugh the most. Yoshimoto's New Comedy Shows made me laugh a lot, too. They were on the air every Saturday afternoon. In addition, I often went to the company's theatre in Kyoto to see comedy performances.
Moreover, I saw comedians so often on the street. Among them was Shinsuke Yamane, a member of a comedy trio, Chanbara Trio, whom I saw the most often. I always found him on the Hankyu line. He must have used the line to move to a theatre in Osaka from Kyoto. I could recognize him at once since he wore colourful clothes like a stage costume.
Those must have made me a comedy lover. In retrospect, it was happy days full of laughter.

　ボクがお笑い好きになったのは、狂言を見たのが始まりかもしれません。小学生の時に京都市内の能楽堂かどこかで狂言を見た記憶は強く残っています。古くさいと感じた一方で仕草が面白く、笑った記憶があります。
これに加え、ボクの周辺はお笑いで溢れていました。その中でも明石家さんまさんのテレビ番組で一番笑いました。毎週土曜日の午後、放送されていた吉本新喜劇でもよく笑いました。また、京都にあった吉本の劇場にお笑いをよく見に行きました。
　さらに、電車の中で芸人さんを何度も見ました。一番印象に残っているのは、チャンバラトリオの山根伸介さんが阪急電車で京都から大阪に移動されるのを見ました。舞台衣装かと思わせるようなかっこだったので、直ぐにわかりました。こうした経験がボクをお笑い好きにしたようです。
　このおかげで、お笑い好きになったのっだと思います。今思うと、笑いに包まれた幸せな日々でした。
