May 28: Yuji Ayabe, Comedian, Changing the Way of Learning English （綾部祐二、お笑い芸人、英語の勉強法を変更）
Yuji Ayabe consulted with a Japanese English teacher in New York. His English score was told to be just four of ten thousand. He must change his way of learning English. Otherwise, he will not reach a level enough to satisfy and make his guests laugh on stage as a comedian. He must study and understand the nature of English and its differences from Japanese. It is the most important to learn English.
Since then, he has been studying English with the teacher. He has learnt the most basic of basics. His efforts resulted in a lot of papers on the video. The efforts seem to improve his English conversation skills. He intends to show how he has learnt English in his future videos, which will be helpful for me.
Haste makes waste. Rome was not built in a day.
そこで、現地にいる日本人の英会話の先生に相談したところ、綾部さんの英語のレベルは1万点満点で4点だと言われたそうです。また、勉強の仕方を変えなけらば、プロのお笑い芸人として、お客さんを満座させ、笑わせるレベルには達しないと言われたそうです。まず、そもそも英語とはなにか、日本語と違う言語とはどういうものかを理解する必要があるとの指摘を受けたそうです。
それからは、日本人の先生について、基本中の基本を勉強しています。その努力の跡が床に並べられているたくさんの紙です。この勉強を英会話に生かせているようです。今後も、ご自身の勉強方法は体験を公開してくれるそうです。きっと、役立ちそうです。
「急がば回れ」、「ローマは一日にしてならず」ですね。
