トルコ・シリア大地震で被災されたみなさま、オストメイトのみなさま
心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
We would like to express our deepest sympathy to everyone, fellow ostomates in particular, affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
私たちは「オストメイトといっしょ！アッと♡ストーマ」
というオンライン上の非営利のグループです。
We are non-profit group called “Whoopstoma!,” formed by ostomates and
friends in Japan.
オストメイトとその友人たちが一緒になり
オストメイトという存在にもっとポジティブに出会い、
お互いが自分らしく生きる社会をめざして 日本で活動しています。

The aim of our group is to create a society where everyone encounters “ostomate” in positive feeling, and where ostomates can live the life we want. (Click here to see our activities.)
地震から、一ヶ月。あまりの被害の大きさに多くの人が衣食住にも困る中、
オストメイトの方の特別なニーズがどれだけ吸い上げられているのか
気がかりに思っています。
While so many people have been suffering and struggling for food/clothing/shelter over the month in Turkey and Syria, we have been concerned if, and to what extent the special needs ostomates hold is being accommodated.
では、自分たちになにができるか。
How can we support our fellow ostomates from Japan?
ひとつはいつも私たちを支えてくださっている企業のみなさんに
オストミーパウチのご提供をご相談することでした。
まず、イーキンジャパンより豚由来の成分不使用の大型のパウチを20箱とシールのご提供をいただきました。
結社のメンバーを通じて国内にある支援団体にお預けさせていただき、
現地のニーズに応じてお渡しいただくことになっています。
As the first step, we asked ostomy product manufacturers for donation. Eakin Japan provided us with 20 boxes of large stoma bags, free from pig-related ingredients, and 100 seals. These products are stored at supporting organization, ready to be sent to Syria based on local demands.
そのほか、医師であるメンバーも現地からの必要に応じて医療アイテムを追加で送ることができるように準備してくれています。
In addition, our member and surgeon is volunteering to provide medical items when needed.
そしてもうひとつ。
私たちの国には、当事者団体である日本オストミー協会やブーケ、関連学会などが大きな災害の際に蓄積してきた知見をまとめた災害マニュアルや論文が多数あります。
それを掘り起こして、必要な方にシェアさせていただくことなら
私たちにもできるかもしれない。
On top of sending ostomy products, we have guidelines and theses concerning ostomates and natural disasters accumulated over the years by Japan Ostomy Association, Japanese Society of Stoma and Continence Rehabilitation, and others. Maybe our knowledge and experience can serve others in need.
