【アニメ感想】英語で地獄楽の第四話を語る! #4
The real threat of the island is showcased
Everybody realizes that it's not about death rows and executioners killing each other, but it's about them confronting this horrific island together.
Otherwise they won't be able to survive.
Gabimaru, Sagiri, and other death rows and their assigned executioners are surrounded by creepy living things.
Gabimaru attacked one of the monsters, but it doesn't look like it worked.
So, Gabimaru used Ninjutsu called Hiboushi and smashed monsters.
Meanwhile, Sagiri is slowly feeling dizzy and doesn't seem to notice a monster proceeding to attack her.
Gabimaru tried to focus on his own opponent, but when he saw Sagiri in danger, he turned back and rescued her.
And, when the next monster moved to attack them, Yuzuriha, her assigned executioner Senta and Genji came and helped them.
After they got out of the danger, Yuzuriha suggested that they collaborate to find the elixer of life because the island is too unknown and dangerous.
While they were negotiating, Sagiri was about too lose her consciousness, and she ended up passing out.
Then, the scene changed to the flashback of Chobei and Toma's past.
They lost their parents in their childhood, and had to pull through their difficulties on their own.
One day, they were assaulted by bandid and got kidnapped.
But, they were able to adapt themselves in the group, and Chobei became the boss of the group.
The other day, the shogunate came to the hideout of the bandid to arrest them.
Chobei decided to yield himself to the Shogunate because they could hardly escape together.
Instead, Chobei decided to let Toma ditch him in order to have Toma get back to him and rescue him.
Eventually, Toma succeeded in rescuing Chobei.
Toma always believes Chobei as a leader and follows him, keeping "survival of the fittest," which is what his brother taught him in mind.
My thoughts of this episode
This episode showcased the real threat of the island.
I found the story got more interesting as the story got on the next phase.
The monsters that appeared in front of them are so fearsome that even Gabimaru, the one who has been undefeatable until this moment could hardly handle.
So, the death rows have started to collaborate with one another, which makes the show get more interesting as we can see the key characters interact.
I felt relieved because it's not about humans killing each other anymore, but they work together for the same goal, survive and find the elixer of life.
Those who are strong enough to handle the monsters on their own are more or less at the same level, so it'll be exciting to see them encounter and engage in a fight.
But still, I think most of them are no match for Gabimaru because I haven't seen other characters who can use something like Ninjutsu as Gabimari.
It may be showcased in the later episodes though.
I wonder how the story will develop from next.
I also thought Chobei's policy, "survival of the fitness" is very rational in terms of exploring the island, because the island is completely mystical and it requires them to be able to adapt unexpected happening.
So, I also pay attention to how far Chopei and Toma can survive.
Overall, I think this episode has done a great job to introduce the key characters who will potentially have a huge impact on the story!
Thank you for reading!
