Bathroom Image Projection with a Mirror
Today is the winter solstice, isn't it? In Japan, we take a bath with Yuzu, which is a citrus that is like a lemon. We call it "Yuzu-yu". The last "yu" means hot water. The ancient people in Japan thought "Yuzu-yu" made our bodies and minds warm up. I like "Yuzu-yu" so much. So I think it's a nice custom in Japan for winter.
By the way, I think of the demerit of "Yuzu-yu". In Japan, we use hot water in the bathtub to wash our bodies. So when we scoop the hot water with a pail, "Yuzu" gets in the way. I think that image projection is good for solving this problem. Namely, we use images of "Yuzu" instead of real "Yuzu". But in such a case, there is one more problem. Where should we put a projector? It's quite bad for projectors that we put them in the bathroom. Generally speaking, it's too hot and humid in the bathroom.
I know some cases of projection mapping in some hot springs. But they are almost outside, not in the bathroom. Moreover, they don't do projection mapping to the surface of the water so much.
I have a good idea about this problem. It's the use of mirrors. If we put mirrors angled to some degree on the ceiling in the bathroom and project images from a projector outside the bathroom. In this method, we need not put the projector in the bathroom. Of course, we should coat anti-fog cream or something on the surface of the mirror. Then, we should make the bathroom dark as much as possible. Because the light from the projector attenuates. But it's not so problem if the bathroom is in a hot spring hotel.
By the way, I like hot springs so much. But I don't go to hot springs lately. I want to go to a hot spring and relax.
