ニューイヤー・バレエ　公演中止に。。。New Year Ballet cancelled

こんばんは。今週末新国立劇場さんの「ニューイヤー・バレエ」を観に行く予定でしたが、公演中止とのお知らせがありました。

このコロナ禍なので仕方がないといえば仕方がないのですが、楽しみにしていたので残念です。でもこの公演の為に準備していた方々は居た堪れない心境かと存じます。

前回の緊急事態宣言が出てから様々なコンサートやバレエなど中止になりました。しかし中止になっても日本は政府から芸術家への補助はないとのこと聞きました。海外は芸術家たちに手厚いようです。国を挙げて芸術を育て守っている国もありますが、日本は残念ながら芸術へのプライオリティが高くありません。こういう状況下だからこそ、人々は美しく人の心を癒す芸術をは干していると思うのですが。日本ももっと芸術をサポートしてくれる国になって欲しいですね。

次回は無事公演してくださることを祈っています。もちろんみなさんの健康と安全が第一ですが。

Good evening ladies and gentleman. Today, I found out that "New Year Ballet by New National Theatre" was cancelled due to a Covid situation. 

I was going to see it this weekend, so I was pretty disappointed. Though, those who have been working for the performance must have been difficult to accept the cancellation. 

After the "state of emergency" was declared last year, many concerts and performances were cancelled. However, I heard that there were no support toward artists from the Japanese government. I understand that other countries put more efforts to protect artists and beautiful arts in a national level. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen in Japan. I believe that under this circumstance, people are dying for beautiful arts which replenish their hearts and minds. So one day, I wish Japanese government support more arts. 

I am looking forward to seeing the next performance. Though everyone's health and safety come first.
