#32 The Sun also Shines [PART3. Spain] ep.XVI "Perfume and Pity"
Studying abroad is not always fun.
It's sad, but this another thing to learn. Every Monday night, an event called F**king Monday is held at a club near Plaza de España, and I was able to enter for free. This means someone asks me to go on Mondays. Good or bad, I attended quite often because I was trying not to say no for anything. This event begins with a lesson session of two kind of dance; salsa and bachata. You need to pair up with someone becaus both dances require to be a couple. It's not rare to dance with strangers. On this day, I happened to dance with a brawn short girl from somewhere in latin America. There was no problem when she said ok, no, there was no problem until she said ok. She was using super strong perfume. It's perfume in Spanish. This was too much. It makes me, uh, dizzy. In a bad sense. I felt similar thing years ago. Yes, when I went to buy a school uniform for high school at department store. She was also crazy, but this time, much closer. I almost lost my sight. I managed to hide SOS on my face into my pocket. The pocket on my chest which is already fallen into the hell of perfume. I mostly have a few drinks with my friends after the lesson, but I was sick enough to be allowed to excuse that I'm sick to leave. My female friends looked at me with pity eyes, and I went home. I was posting an Instagram post once a day, so I wrote my shitty feelings on it. I knew writing exposing my feelings is so embarassing, but I couldn't help it. To hide my embarassement as much as possible, I mixed languages I know to make as less people as possible to understand it. Well, it can be concluded as "What on earth am I doing here, I came to Spain to study, and now I'm sick of perfume at club."
