The Feelings of a Butterfly

One day, some children were playing in a flower garden. Suddenly, they spotted a beautiful butterfly resting on a flower and exclaimed,

"Look! There's a butterfly!"

But the butterfly quickly replied,

"No, I'm a grasshopper! My heart feels like a grasshopper."

The children were a little surprised but quickly responded,

"Alright! We respect how you feel. But since your body is a butterfly's, is it okay if we categorize you as a butterfly?"

The butterfly fluttered its wings, looking a bit dissatisfied, and thought for a while.

"Indeed, I don't have the strong legs of a grasshopper, nor do I have the powerful teeth to bite through grass. I can't hop or fly like a grasshopper eitherโ€ฆ"

The butterfly sighed and said,

"I wish I could freely change my costume. Then I could become a grasshopper in an instant."

Suddenly, the butterfly's eyes lit up with an idea.

"Oh! If I could, I'd like to become a human child like you and play together with you!"

The children smiled and replied,

"That would be wonderful! But if that happens, please be the kind of human who doesn't harm butterflies or grasshoppers."

The butterfly happily spread its wings wide.

"I promise! If I ever become human, I'll befriend nature and enjoy life with everyone!"

And so, the butterfly bid the children farewell and soared high into the sky. As they watched the butterfly fly away, the children made a vow to cherish their friends in nature.

The End.
