Speeding up! Reading in English

Since 2020, I read articles in English.
At the beginning, I barely understand while reading the same time: stable by unknown words. Look up dictionary and back to read. i can't remember what I've read so far, so start it over again... now I can read faster and understand the contents while reading. i can sense what it is going to explain while reading. I can think about the article before reading words.
i have the same article when I read: English & Japanese. I notice that these 2 are not exactly the same. JP translation is so called 意訳, which JP speakers easily understand in conversation.
I also try to look for key-words that the author wants us to catch while reading. I don't pay attention each word closely. Rather I try to read the whole article as a mass. I can rewrite one article in 1 sentence. I feel ease to read it every day and no need to read it in JP.
I also read an article with many paragraphs in both English & JP. I can compare both while reading. No need to look up dictionary or no need to worry about my understating. Of course JP translation is easy to understand. The goal of reading is not a precise translation, but understanding in my own words.

Now I find myself reading articles with more fun! More I read, more I get knowledge from the author, not a new vocabulary. I keep up with reading from now.
