オバマ、ビル·ゲイツなどリベラル派までもなぜ大学生の平和デモについて言及がないのか？(Why have liberal figures like Obama and Bill Gates remained silent about the peaceful protests by college students? )

ハマスの民間人人質は絶対的に批判されなければならない。 しかし、それに対する報復として、無慈悲に民間人、特に女性と子どもまで殺して行う「血の報復」に対する反戦デモは十分に納得できる。
「プロパレスチナデモ」というマスコミの表現も、反戦デモ、平和デモという用語に変更されなければならない。
イスラエルは、彼らの宗教で表現した通り、徹底した報復で再びイスラエルに対する挑発が起きないようにしようとしている。 しかし、イスラエルには最初の人質事件の責任はないのでしょうか？ パレスチナ人は彼らの国を奪われ、これまでも平和的な交流と協力がなされず、パレスチナ国家としても認められていなかった。 イスラエルがパレスチナに対して包容し、共に生きていく姿を見せたなら、このような悲劇は繰り返されないだろうという考えもしてみる。
一日も早くイスラエルの報復は止めなければならない。 これ以上民間人の犠牲はあってはならない。 このような考えを持った米国の大学生たちが反戦デモを行った。 ところが、誰も彼らの肩を持ってくれなかった。 マスコミも政治家も大学総長も同じだった。
イスラエルの強力なパワーが感じられる瞬間だった。 そのうえ、米国の象徴的なリベラル人士までもソーシャルメディアに一切大学生のデモに言及しない姿に悲痛さを感じた。
特に、オバマ前大統領の場合、庶民寄りの姿と自由奔放に疎通する姿に感動を受け、尊敬を示した。 庶民たちと話しながらハンバーガーを楽しみ、バスケットボールもし、友好国のために謙虚に平和を語った。 「世界最高の国の大統領」といううぬぼれは一切見せず、さらに尊敬した。 本人が黒人だったため、弱者の位置を誰よりもよく知っていると思い、常に弱者の側で行動する人だ」と評価した。 ところが、今回の大学生たちの平和デモを見て、誰よりも進んで戦争の仲裁に乗り出すべき人が、何の行動も見せない姿に失望を隠せなかった。
ビル·ゲイツも慈善事業と各種講演を通じて肯定的な影響力を見せる人であるにもかかわらず、今回のデモに関しては一切言及がなかった。
すべての事態が世の中の力の論理のように感じられて残念だ。 力のある人たちは罪を犯しても有能なローファームを通じて軽く処理され、力のない小市民はない罪までも不敬罪として追加され重罰として処罰される最近の世相が反映されるようだ。 いくら最強国の米国だとしても、世の中の力の論理が依然として存在するようで苦々しい。 しかし、一部ではあるが、大学生たちがデモに参加する姿やバーニー·サンダースのような政治家の主張は、それでも世の中は生きがいがあるという穏やかな感動を与えるようで、感謝を感じる。 特にサンダースは父親がホロコーストで犠牲になったユダヤ系米国人であるにもかかわらず、強くイスラエルのネタニヤフ首相を批判する姿から立派な政治家であることを知ることになった。（Qの希望）

Hamas’s taking of civilian hostages must be absolutely condemned. However, anti-war protests against the merciless retaliation that indiscriminately kills civilians, especially women and children, are entirely understandable. The media’s term “pro-Palestinian protests” should be changed to “anti-war protests” or “peace protests.”
 
Israel aims to prevent future provocations with a thorough retaliation as prescribed by their religion. But is Israel not also responsible for the initial hostage situation? Palestinians lost their country and have not been recognized as a state, nor have there been peaceful exchanges and cooperation. If Israel had shown tolerance towards Palestinians and lived together harmoniously, such tragedies might not have been repeated.
 
Israel's retribution must stop immediately. The sacrifice of civilians must not continue. American college students held anti-war protests with such thoughts in mind. Yet, no one supported them—not the media, politicians, or university presidents. The powerful influence of Israel was felt at that moment. Moreover, it was disheartening to see that even symbolic liberal figures in the U.S. did not mention the students’ protests on social media.
 
Former President Obama, in particular, left a deep impression with his friendly, free-spirited interactions and humble advocacy for peace. I respected him greatly because he did not display any arrogance despite being the president of the world’s greatest country. Being an African American himself, I thought he understood the position of the underprivileged better than anyone and always acted on their behalf. Yet, his silence regarding these peaceful student protests was deeply disappointing.
 
Bill Gates, known for his charitable work and influential talks, also did not mention anything about these protests. It feels like the harsh reality of power dynamics in the world is at play. Powerful individuals can easily get away with crimes using high-powered law firms, while ordinary citizens are severely punished, sometimes for crimes they didn’t commit. This sentiment seems to reflect the current state of affairs.
 
However, seeing some college students participating in protests and politicians like Bernie Sanders speaking out gives a small glimmer of hope. Sanders, whose father was a Holocaust victim, strongly criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, demonstrates that he is an outstanding politician. For this, I feel gratitude and a sense that there is still some good in the world.(Q's hope)
