(The people are precious)

There is a common saying in the political arena that emphasizes the need for a government and its institutions to serve the people and work for the well-being of the people. However, is this statement really true?
The ruling party in South Korea, after a recent by-election defeat, claimed that they would prioritize the welfare of the people and serve the people. Nevertheless, this declaration lacks authenticity. It feels as if the current ruling party sees only those who support them as the true representatives of the people, and I wonder if that's just my misunderstanding.
In the previous presidential election, despite winning by a very narrow margin, nearly half of the population chose the opposition's candidate. This demonstrates a significant level of distrust in the ruling party and a strong level of support for the opposition.
Yet, the ruling party is now blatantly ignoring the will of a half portion of the population. It has been a year and a half since the opposition leader and the government, which were supported by half of the people, were born, but there has been no effort to engage with them. How can this be considered a government that works for the people?
Even though the opposition's candidate is undergoing a trial, the verdict has not been reached, and many in the population strongly suspect that this is a politically motivated investigation rather than a legitimate one. In such a situation, no matter how much the ruling party claims to be a government for the people, who will believe them, and how can the nation come together? The responsibility for all of this lies with the ruling party that holds power, and their failure to implement effective policies in the face of recent economic and security crises is significant.
However, they continue to use the previous administration as an excuse to cater only to their supporters, which is deeply frustrating to witness.
The behavior of the current South Korean government is reminiscent of Israel's Netanyahu government and Japan's Abe government, which seemed to prioritize their absolute supporters and move towards right-wing politics, causing increasing concerns about the situation.
The military exercises and defense alliances between South Korea, the United States, and Japan have strengthened the alliance against North Korea, China and Russia. While a strong alliance undoubtedly has its advantages in terms of deterring aggression, it's essential to consider how the alliance might be affected if there were changes the president of the United States, which we believe in as a strong ally.
Half of South Korean citizens prioritize diplomacy and peace policies over military expansion. The Japanese government should also focus on diplomacy and peace efforts, but due to strong right-wing influences, their voices are not heard, creating uncertainty about how international relations will develop in the future. We hope for a government that listens to the voices of both sides, not just one side of the population, to address these concerns.(Q's hope)
