新海誠「すずめの戸締まり」韓国映画市場席巻(Makoto Shinkai's "Suzume's Door" dominate the Korean film market)

映画館に入ったときびっくりした。 観客がいっぱいになったのに、みんな学生たちだ。 こんな光景を見たことがない。 普通の子供映画は親と子供、一般映画もやはり大人と学生が混在していた。 しかし、学生だけで埋め尽くされた映画館は見慣れないものだった。 韓国学生の日本に対する否定的な見解も多く消えたことを実感した。
2019年、日本の韓国に対する輸出規制とホワイトリスト国家除外という措置に抗議して起きた日本製品不買運動当時は、学生たちもやはり日本に対する批判が非常に高かった。 日本製品の使用はもちろん、日本旅行なども自制する雰囲気だった。 テロがあり得るといううわさで両国間の旅行者も急激に減った。
当時、私は政治的な問題で相手国の国民を非難してはならないと強調した。 政治家たちが悪いのであって、日本国民と韓国国民の交流や疎通はさらに活発にならなければならないと主張した。 しかし、そうすればするほど私に対する韓国の学生たち、そして大人たちさえも理解できない様子だった。
しかし、今は完全に韓国内の雰囲気が変わった。 時間も経っており、韓日協力などの好材料があるからでもあるが、日本に対する韓国国民の世論はもはや政治的な問題を気にしていないようだ。
特に学生たちの世論変化は非常に大きな意味がある。 これまで学校教育は主に日本に対する被害を強調してきた。 そのため、学生たちには自然に日本に対する否定的なイメージが強かった。 しかし、今回の新海監督の作品を見る学生たちを見れば、全く日本に対する過去の悪い印象は見られない。
学生たちのこのような感情が今後韓国と日本国民の交流成長を共にしてほしいという気持ちが大きい。
新海監督のような天才的な監督の役割が、今後は政治家より重要だと思う。 韓国もK－ドラマ俳優や監督の役割が重要だ。 彼らが韓日交流に真正性のある姿を見せるなら、政治家とは違う意図のない純粋な関係増進のために献身できるという考えが自然に浮かぶ。
政治家たちは政権維持のために支持勢力によって両国のためではなく決定を下す場合が多い。 それは両国のためには絶対に役に立たない。 過去のような不平等協力ではなく、同等で共に共生できる決定が下されなければならない。
そのような点で、たとえ韓日交流が続くとしても、政治家による今回の慰安婦おばあさんたちに対する韓日両国政府の合理的でない態度は批判されなければならない。
新海監督のような民間交流が政治家の協議より両国関係の増進のためには100倍以上効果があると確信する。（Qの希望）

It seemed to refrain from using Japanese products as well as traveling to Japan. The number of travelers between the two countries had also decreased sharply due to rumors that there could be terrorism.
At that time, I emphasized that we should not blame the people of the other country for political issues. Politicians are bad, but exchanges and communication between the Japanese and the Korean people should be more active." But the more I did, the more Korean students and adults didn't seem to understand me.
But now the atmosphere in Korea has completely changed. It is because time has passed and there are favorable factors such as Korea-Japan cooperation, but Koreans' public opinion on Japan no longer seems to care about political issues.
In particular, the change in public opinion of students is very meaningful. Until now, school education has mainly emphasized damage to Japan. Therefore, students naturally had a strong negative image of Japan. However, if you look at the students who are watching Shinkai's work, you can't see the same impression of Japan as in the past.
I hope that these feelings of students will share the growth of exchanges between the Korean and Japanese people in the future.
I think the role of genius directors like Shinkai is more important than politicians in the future. In Korea, the role of K-drama actors and directors is also important. If they show sincerity in Korea-Japan exchanges, they will naturally think that they are committed to promoting pure relationships that are not intended to be different from politicians.
Politicians often make decisions not for the two countries but for the sake of their supporters to maintain power. It never helps for both countries. Decisions that are equal and can coexist should be made, not unequal cooperation as in the past.
In this regard, even if exchanges between Korea and Japan continue, the unreasonable attitude of the two governments toward the grandmothers in Japanese Military Sexual Slavery should be criticized.
I am confident that private exchanges such as director Shinkai will be more than 100 times more effective in promoting bilateral relations than politicians' consultations.(Q's hope)
