Self pity 
Have you shed a tear for something besides self-pity recently? Have you shed a tear for humanity? I am asking you because this is what makes us humans.

When we're occupied with ourselves--that's what we all see, hear, listen.

Yes we DO need to maintain our own needs, but we want to liberate us from that animal stage, don't we?
