Background of opening the Shimokitazawa store of SWINGTOYS
Shirakami: have been vaguely interested in opening a store in Shimokita, and by chance, the current store was vacant, I decided to quit my previous job and open it immediately.
25-4, Kitazawa 2-chome, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo 155-0031, JAPAN
A store that collects Mr. Shirakami's favorite things.
When the store first opened, it was 80% toys and 20% clothes, but now they have increased the number of clothes, especially American comic books from the 1980s, and children's clothes.
There are two entrances, so it's easy to enter and it's a fun shop.
The opportunity to become a sofubi artist
Shirakami: AJ (Art Junkie) and Red Shark's Mr. Kondo invited me to participate in TTF, and that's when I started making sofubi, I really wanted to go to Taiwan.
Commitment to modeling with Swing Bunny and Swing Bear
Shirakami: I leave everything up to the sculptor, Mr. Shigeki (HUMANROBOT). I gave him the direction to a certain extent, but he has known me for a long time and knows my tastes, so I leave everything to him.
I had initially asked Mr. Kondo of Red Shark to do the coloring.
World view / setting
Shirakami: Someday I want to form a JAZZ orchestra. There are too many orchestras, so I hope to form a JAZZ band.
The cute expressions and the good size sculpture. They come in a variety of colors, which makes you want to collect them. While they are the latest in art sofubi, they also have a nostalgic, retro feel that makes them very popular.
I also talk about it in detail on YouTube.
