June 2021 Creators Market Loot! SOFUBI and toys purchased at "Cre-Ma". One of the largest art events in the Tokai area from Nagoya! A festival for people who make things!
I went to "Cre-Ma"!
Well, it's been a while since the last event in Nagoya!
I had so much fun!
I would like to introduce some fun SOFUBI and toys that I purchased at the Creators Market.
As you may know, the Creators Market is an event that "exhibits and sells original works created by people who make things", and is one of the largest art events in the Tokai region, originating in Nagoya! It's a festival of people who make things!
There are many different kinds of handmade works, but there are also SOFUBI artists who set up stalls, and there are rare works and works that can only be found here, so there is a possibility that you can meet artists and handmade works that you never knew existed.
I think the best part is being able to meet the artists in person and talk to them. You can feel their worldview and personality firsthand, not just on social media, so you get more involved.
The Internet is becoming more and more popular and convenient, but it is still
important to meet face-to-face. It's like standing in a shopping street in the old days, but conversations that can only happen in the here and now, or conversations that come about by chance while talking, are things that we should cherish because the Internet is becoming more and more convenient.
You can ask questions that you can't easily ask on social media, or you can ask
directly about past works, so the appeal of the work can be conveyed more. I think that words are better than text.
And so, here's the toy that I purchased this time!
-"Spooky Rat" by Kagemaru Design
I bought "Spooky Rat" that I didn't have, but frankly, I wanted them all!
When I visited Kagemaru Design for video shoot the other day, I saw so many on the wall, and I was "aiming" for them!
-"Yoshiko" and "Sachiko" by Kakkowarai Zakkaten
"Sachiko is here! And the gray-haired "Yoshiko", she's got a really nice vibe!
When I tried to order "Sachiko" the first time, it had already exceeded the order limit of 100, so I was finally able to meet her. I really like the "Yokai" figures from Kakkowarai Zakkaten!
-"Ubazamen" by Bobanchi
Ubazamen! I've always wanted one of these SOFUBI figures! There's shark-gun on his right arm, and you can even dress him up!
Actually, this time, he had only 4 Limited Edition painted versions of "Yoshiko" from Kakkowarai Zakkaten! He's an amazing painter, and he said it takes him about 10 hours to paint one. It's a pity that I couldn't see "her" in person, but I'm glad that I was able to get my hands on this "Ubazamen" with the coloring I was aiming for. Also, the attention to detail on this tag is unbelievable!
Talking more in detail in another video about Bobanchi's "Ubazamen".
-KODAMA (Kodama industry)'s "Charmy-chan" and Shibusawa Eiichi's blue-eyed doll project created by KODAMA and Takeyama Noriya! And Gacha-Gacha!
"Charmy"! It's been popular for ages! This is the "Charmy-chan" that Kodama
industry has been selling for 50 years since the 1970s! Extremely popular! Here you have the old retro "Charmy-chan" too!
It's a toy that's still handmade using the traditional SOFUBI manufacturing method. It's truly a work of art that will be loved by generations to come!
So, Takeyama Noriya also collaborated with Kodama to produce another cute little "Charmy-chan", and here's "Charmy" with her sparkly hat and blue eyes!
I'd like to introduce it in another video!
There is also a Gacha.
Hiro: Eiichi Shibusawa's blue-eyes doll project was supervised by Takeyama Noriya, and this is "Charmy" with blue eyes and a hat. This time, my eldest daughter and I picked out the cutest one we could find. Also, Mr. Takeyama signed his name on the sole of it's foot, which is really cute.
There were so many different kinds of handmade products, not to mention the SOFUBI!
It was really exciting to see more than 2000 shops exhibiting various works.
I also felt that the booth was a part of one work that brought out the world view of the work.
That part was also fun.
I also talk in detail on YouTube.
[If you want to buy SOFUBI, go to T-BASE!]
