[Kimura Toy] A SOFUBI artist with a wide range of products, from original SOFUBI monsters to the Old style(Showa) series!

We've got a lot of SOFUBI here again! It's a very varied lineup!

I'd like to introduce you to "Kimura Toy", a one-man cottage industry SOFUBI shop! (in Japanese: Kanai seishu kougyou)

Kimura Toy sells original monsters, but they also produce SOFUBI of anime and manga that were broadcast during the "Showa" era.

That'll be these here!

KimuraToy全部

-Original Monster- SOFUBI Kimura, Hedogadera, Kika Kong and Captain Panda

-Copyrighted material- SOFUBI Hustle Punch's Nu and Baby Squirrel Pokko-chan

The range of genres is amazing! I can't believe it's the same artist making the
original works, let alone the copyrighted ones.

These SOFUBI is now on sale at T-BASE JAPAN.

[Original Monster SOFUBI]

-KIMURA

キムラ

I like this face! It makes you feel attached to it.

It has a cute size like a VAG. It's painted with half eyes, but the black eyes are
painted on, so it's interesting to see the different expressions that will come out.

-Hedogadera

ヘドガデラー

This monster also has a nostalgic feel to it. He's got a naughty face! This size is also very cute!

It's like the villainous counterpart to "KIMURA"! The face has been sprayed with a gunmetal-like color to create a poisonous atmosphere, and the dripping parts of the face have been inked with shadows, so the painting is very detailed.

-Kika Kong

キカコング

It's hands reach all the way down, and they're long! Huh? The shape of this head... AHAAA! So that's how Kimura Toys' SOFUBI works! These characters are different, but if you look closely, you can see the similarities! That's interesting!

I can't help but grin at the design that I've seen somewhere before. But still,
it's cool! The design and paint job are awesome, but I personally think the chain of the torn collar is a separate part and is very detailed.

-Captain Panda

I love this! Isn't it kind of cool?

It's a very bad-looking panda with a cute deformed form, but the detailed modeling of the fur on the face is very detailed, and the gap between the two is very striking.

-Hustle Punch Nu

The TV animation [Hustle Punch] was broadcasted from 1965 to 1966. In a nutshell, it's a slapstick comedy. It was made before we were born, and the TV was in black and white, so it's fun to put these SOFUBI together with the old CRT TVs.

"Punch the Bear" is Nobuyo Oyama, the famous voice actress of Doraemon. This anime is her first starring role as a voice actor, which makes me feel the times.

This Nu is one of Professor Garigari's henchmen.

[Nu] is a bad guy, but he's actually a good guy with a few loose ends! Takuzo
Kamiyama, who was in charge of "Dekapan" in anime "Bakabon", was the voice actor. [Hustle Punch] was created by Yasuji Mori, a genius animation creator, and the movements and expressions of the animals in this work are very impressive, so this figure with different facial expressions, such as puzzled face and an angry face, really looks like a three-dimensional version of the anime. The black & while version that looks like it was made at the time also fits perfectly!

-Baby Squirrel Pokko-chan(Korisu no Pokko-chan)

And "Baby Squirrel Pokko-chan is a manga created by Jiro Ohta, which became popular in the 1950s. It was loved by many children in that era. And now, this little girl has been brought back to life by Kimura Toy! This is one of those works that will make you feel the "Showa" era.

Jiro Ohta is also the designer of the original rabbit design for Nagoya's original "Kuppy Ramune"! That's why I have a strong image of the squirrel design! I think the nostalgic matte finish of the SOFUBI is a wonderful match to the retro artwork.

These two works are the "Showa" series, full of the feeling of the "Showa" era, and they make me smile very much.

It's hard to believe that these works are made by the same artist, so it makes me full stomach.

I talk about it in detail on YouTube.
