Irresistible, addictive modeling and coloring! Art Junkie! Speaking of three-eyed monster SOFUBI, it's AJ! KATO "AJ" SHINICHIRO!
This time, I'd like to introduce you to the three-eyed monsters you see lined up here! This is Art Junkie!
This time, "-Professional Pop Art Edition-"! That's how I'd like to proceed!
Art Junkie...that's "AJ"!
It's Kato "AJ" Shinichiro! He is so cool!
This time, I'd like to introduce you to the work of Art Junkie, that are:
Kumara, The Triceps Beast King, King-Pacara, Flying Lamb Beast-Lambdan, Calm Cat, Shitton.
-About "Art Junkie"
He started his career in 2000. He started his career as an artist under the name "ART JUNKIE". With the motto "From the very major to the very indie", he has released various collaborative T-shirts for professional wrestlers, martial artists, comedians and musicians. He aims to be a "professional pop art artist" with "character", "logo", and "illustration" as the pillars. The goal is to create "professional pop art" based on characters, logos, and illustrations.
With that said, not only SOFUBI, but also illustrations and T-shirts are widely
used, and it's just art! And since it's used for art, it's just a junky!
First off, Kurama and Triceps Beast King, King-Pacara!
This coloring ver. is the work I bought at "shina Ginza", when he had a solo
exhibition, but what is this marble color? It's insanely beautiful! It's amazing!
AJ's feature is the three-eyes! The monsters are cutely combined!
After all, pictures and illustrations are drawn, this sense of coloration is very
eye-catching.
I like this one. The coloring is awesome! Also, the design of this figure is very
cute and pop-like, while still having all the points that I like in a monster.
For example, I can't get enough of Kumara's shapely body surface, the bumpy arms and legs. The Lambdan also have a really nice bumpy feel to them! It's great to see all these different elements recreated in one piece!
This is Lambdan! Flying Lamb Monster-Lambdan!
This is another piece that I got at a solo exhibition at "shina Ginza", and it is
colored inside the SOFUBI, and is this glitter inside and outside? It looks like
that, but this gives it a three-dimensional feel!
I wonder if it's because the body is thicker that the glitter has more depth. It's
really beautiful. I didn't know it was possible to paint the inside of a SOFUBI so artistically. You can enjoy the differences in coloration depending on the angle you look at it from. Also, the use of colors. The gold is really effective, and it seems to have a good balance of both cuteness and glamour.
And, Calm Cat!
It's a Beckoning series, and three-eyes at that! This Calm Cat is a "disease
remover" and there are also "Blessings" and is available in many different colors.
This one also has three-dimensional glitter.
The clear body, glitter and auspicious red color seems to be very beneficial. But still, it's huge! And they can pull it out with just one piece of this size.
Speaking of the beckoning Calm Cat, I was able to make a Toy's King Limited
Edition color version of the Red Shark Mr. Kondo's work "Shamelot", but since Art Junkie made the hat at that time, various gimmicks like this are also possible. It is interesting.
Shamelot is also very cute and will take your heart away.
And then, Shitton!
The other day, I got it at the SOFUBI spot sale event held at the Good Vibes Bar, which is owned by Mr. Shirakami of Swing Toys! It's a "Toguro" monster!
And this Shitton is good!
It's a set with mini-Shitton, and the color of this Shitton was painted by AJ's
mother, so it's an artistic parent and the child! Amazing!
