-My interpretation

When I heard this song for the first time, I was impressed with such a beautiful melody and her voice. 

This is love song (but not sweet one) about two lovers who are spending and snuggling  a weekend in their room. And they are together for long time.

They have been spending in the bed all day long. They won't move no matter what new things happen or something tries to makes them surprise. This situation must happens all around the world. I have experienced this kind of situation with my old boyfriend.  Sometimes this situation is boring, and sometimes easy as we have to think nothing. Just alive as yesterday.

I want you to ask the meaning of the part of lyrics I can't understand yet.The lyrics is below.

I don't know WHAT " I " makes surprise in this case.
Is " I " surprised that he is NOT surprised to be together??
So if they are together for 5 years for instance, " I " is feeling like the first day???

Anyway, I LOVE this song.
