Quarantine Diary 9/11/20

１７７日め。昨夜の記録から。
試合が始まる直前に、ストリームサービスに加入しよう！との夫の提案に乗って、なんとライブで見られたのでした。
すぐそこ（ブルックリンの北のクイーンズ）で、たった今プレイしているんだと思うと、ドキドキした。
画面の中で雨が降ると、窓の外でも降り出す。
大坂なおみ選手とジェニファー・ブレイディ選手の試合は素晴らしかった。ミスしない、クールな二人。そして３セット目でも、二人とも全然疲れてないみたいなんだけど！？すごいなぁ。
見ているだけでこちらが疲れたけど、堪能しました〜。
セリーナ・ウィリアムズ選手は残念だったけれど、彼女もまた素晴らしい選手だと思う。モハメド・アリ、マイケル・ジョーダンと並ぶレベルの伝説の選手だなぁ。ママで現役というところもすごい。

大坂選手のマスク、今回はわたしもすぐにはピンと来なくて調べた。フィランド・キャスティル（カスティール？）さん。
まさにこのために彼女は、マスクをつけてくれてるんだ。
ひとつずつの悲しみを記号にしてしまわないために。
「またか」にしないために。

今朝は興奮が後を引いていて、ぼうっとしてしまう。
とりあえず走りにだけ行って、ゆっくり半身浴。今日はのんびりしよう。

仕事のメールを書いたりしつつ、ああ、今日は９１１だ、と思う。夫もわたしも当時はNYにいなかったけれど、ここに暮らすひとにとっては大事な日。心をからっぽにして祈る。

お昼は昨日の残りのカレー。キノアにかけて食べたらとってもおいしかった。それから夫がもらってきた梨。エイジアンペアだよ！と言うから何かと思ったら幸水とすごく似た梨！おいしい〜！久しぶりーー！

今日は料理もしない。あるものを大きなまな板の上に並べて、バーのおつまみみたいにして食べよっと。

午後はたーっぷり昼寝した。さぁ週末！

Day 177.
Last night, he suddenly said "we should get some screening service!" So we got Hulu Live, and could watch US open live!!! Wow. 
Naomi Osaka was soooo good. And the other lady, Jeniffer Brady was excellent too. Both of them were cool, not making any mistakes, and so tough. None of them looked tired even in the third set. I was tired only watching them. 
Serena Williams got defeated...Ah.. I was sad, but she's still a queen. She's a legend as same as Muhammad Ali or Michael Jordan. And she's a mom.

The mask Naomi has been wearing to raise awareness made me realized I did not remember Philando Castile's name but the story. This is exactly what she intended to do. To make us learn each of the victims was a person like us. They have their name and life and family. It's not only one of many same incidents. Thank you, Naomi.

I was so tired this morning, but managed to go to run. 
Took a hot bath, and did little laundry. 

I was writing emails for work and realized it's 911 today. I pray for the 911 victims and their families. 19 years.... yet I bet it is a vivid memory to those who had went through that in NY.

For lunch, I ate leftover curry from last night. It was so good with quinoa. And also the pear. An asian pear he got from work. Oh my, I missed it. 

I decided not to cook tonight. Take it easy. 

Had a long nap in the afternoon. Yay, it's weekend!
