【3 regrets of dying】I wish I had more gratitude in my life (1/3)
How can we live a wonderful life that we will never regret?
We just need to do opposite of those who have left this world with their regrets.
What regrets do people have before they die?
We can learn from books.
For example, "Top Five Regrets of the Dying" and "No More Regrets!", there are many regrets that you can find from those books, but I picked three that I think it is important.
Once you know these "three regrets", you can take the opposite actions. Then you will be able to live a great life with fewer regrets.
This topic is going to be a long one, so I'm going to break it down into three regrets as follows.
1. I wish I had more gratitude in my life
2. I wish I hadn't worked so hard.
3. I wish I cared less of what others think
In today's topic, I am going to talk about "【3 regrets of dying】I wish I had more gratitude in my life"
【3 regrets of dying】I wish I had more gratitude in my life (1/3)
Many people take their lives for granted and don't appreciate the little things around them that make up their environment.
Being able to see, Being able to hear, living home, the trains come on time, the supermarkets open every day, the birds sing, the flowers bloom and love from family.
We are surrounded by such wonderful things, but all we can focus more on negative things, including unhappiness, dissatisfactions and complains.
If only we had a grateful feeling of "thank you, thank you and thank you" we'd be happier!
The human brain tends to look at its weaknesses rather than its strengths.
Studies have found that "no matter how convenient the world gets, happiness rarely goes up."
There are many patterns of regret for not being able to express gratitude to the people around you because they don't have the courage to do so.
It's hard to say "I love you" or "I appreciate you" to someone close to you, but...
It is said that if we say goodbye without expressing love or gratitude, a strong sense of guilt will come over you.
Why didn't I just say the words, "I love you" or "Thank you"?
The regret will drag on forever.
To avoid leaving such a regret, it's important to be brave enough to express your love and gratitude.
I talked about this in my previous post, "A quick way to be happy 【Power of Appreciation】" so if you'd like to know more about it, please check out the link in the description section below.
The power of "Thank" is amazing, and if you just say it out loud often, not only you will not regret, but your life will become wonderful dramatically.
It makes people feel comfortable being around you because you can only see the good in things. So not only you will be happy, but also your surroundings will be happy.
This way, every relationship will work out well, including love, work, parenting and etc.
I even heard that it cures diseases and allows you to live a longer life as it has such a strong positive power.
Moreover, saying "thank you" doesn't cost anything, so if you're going to spend money on medicine or supplements, make it a habit to say "thank you" first.
It takes a lot of courage to say thank you to the people close to you, so let's start by thanking nice things around you, and when you get used to it, Let's take a further step to say "thank you" to your love ones.
