このイベントは2020年4月、世界中がコロナでしっちゃかめっちゃかし始めた時に生まれました。

This event has started since the coronavirus made all over the world mess up .

僕の初めての就職先はタイでした。

日本人として、受け入れられて、

タイ語もろくに話せなかった頃から、よくしてもらっていました。

My first career started in Thailand.

Even though I couldn't speak Thai at all, Thai people accepted me as a foreign language.

初めての海外生活、初めての仕事

何もGIveできない僕に対して、本当に優しく受け入れてくれたのです。

I worried about the first experience living foreign country and job.

They were so kind that they took care of me.

その恩返しの一環として、

日本人、海外の方に何かできないかと考え、

日本人と海外の方が集まるThird Placeを作り始めたのが第一歩でした。

As a one of the in return,

I started to think how I can help for foreign people, then

I made the third place where Japanese and people from abroad get together.

２０１９年からカフェとコラボして、

日本人と海外の方が交流できる場所を運営していましたが、中止を余儀なくされました。

I started the offline event with collaborating cafe but

COVID 19 stopped suddenly.

このままではいけないと思い、

まずはオンラインで海外の方と繋がれる場所を作りました。

それがOUCHI de Internationalの原点です。

I was shocked but I cannot wait for the situation getting better so

at first I made an online community for both Japanese and people from abroad.

This is the origin of OUCHI de International.

◆英語話せなくていい？

　基本的にやっていることは、英語などの言語交流会です。が、目的はそこではありません。

海外の人と日本人が繋がること、

もっと踏み込んだ関係になることです。

We basically enjoy language exchange but main purpose is

that Japanese and people abroad have good relationship and

get close to each other.

目指している場所としては、

どこか立ち飲み居酒屋に近い、

いつもの常連さんが吸い寄せられるように

ふらっと寄れる場所です。

My ideal community is the place that seems to be a standing bar where

a regular customer gets together and casual place.

もちろん、英語や外国語ができた方が楽しめますし、

自分で直接、彼らの口から、意見が聞けます。

Of course it will be enjoyable if you can speak in foreign language because

you can ask questions directly.

その熱量、言葉遣い、表情、

オンラインを介してでは、伝わりきらないかもしれませんが、

「交流しよう」

という意思が一番大事だと気がつきました。

The passion, The way of speaking, How to react by facial express.

We cannot tell everything through online but

I found that the most important thing is the attitude to exchange.

だから、初めての人でも、英語が得意じゃない人でも安心して参加できます。

That's why even though you cannot speak well in English, you can join it.

◆運営して気づいたこととこれから

　運営して気づいたことは、オンラインでも週に二回顔を合わせていたら、

距離が急に縮まるということです。

I found that we will get close to each other even though we haven't in person.

まだ直接会ったことがない人もいます。

昨日はEさん、Tさん、Cさん、初めてあえてよかったね。

I was happy to see the first meeting of C san and E san, T san and E san.

2021年5月からは、

日本語でも話したいという要望に応えて、

毎週月曜日を日本語の会にしました。

運営もTさんにまかせました。

Since May of 2021, we started Japanese event to meet the needs.

T san hosts Monday's event.

その結果、僕の会では、出せなかった色が出せていますね。

深くまで話していて、

それこそ二次会の様相を呈しています笑

Thanks to him, we can enjoy a different atmosphere compared to my hosting.

Topics often go into deep discussion and look like an after party.

それについてこられるアレックスさん、チュイちゃんは凄すぎなんですが、

I am very surprised to see that Alex san and Chuyi chan can understand what Tsucchi is talking about.

本来目指していた

日本人と海外の方が繋がることが実現されていました。

The event realizes that connecting people all over the world.

海外では二回目のワクチン接種が終わっているところも多く、

海外に行ける日も遠くないと信じています。

I believe that the day will come soon, which we can go abroad freely because

a number of countries finished vaccination twice.

水面下で、カフェや、コミュニティスペースの開拓をしています。

Below the surface I am searching for Cafe and community space.

今は、僕が住んでいる近くの人としか逢えていませんが、

日本中、世界中に会いたい人が増えました。

Now I can meet my neighbors but I would like to meet you all.

参加者同士も、

今度は「あの人のところへ行きたいなぁ」

そんなつながりがどんどん増えていったらこの上ない幸せです。

It is the one of the happiest moment when our event connects the participants

今取り組んでいる活動とこれから目指しているものについて
